Why Joyce and Rick Hubbard chose Karnak
This property is our dream come true. It is the perfect getaway for relaxing, recharging, and enjoying the best nature has to offer. It's been such an amazing place for us, we wanted to give others an opportunity to enjoy it.
What makes this Cabin unique
The entrance to the property is a beautiful path through the center of the woods, which opens up into a breathtaking meadow in the back. It's a picture-perfect setting for the cabin, overlooking the lake for a gorgeous sunset. It's also very close to many attractions, including wineries, Tunnel Hill Bike Trail, Ohio River, Mermet Springs Scuba Diving, and a other state nature areas like Mermet Lake. There is much to do nearby or you can bring your fishing pole and fish the lake for a nice catfish cook it up on the grill dinner. If you prefer you can also sit by the fire or relax in the hot tub under the stars for the rest of the night. Don't forget to watch for the amazing wildlife. There is something for everyone here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
My newlywed wife and I absolutely loved this place. It was immaculately clean and well kept. The property was gorgeous, and I can't imagine a better place for our honeymoon. The owners very thoughtfully left us flowers and a card for our recent wedding, which was a really nice touch that made us feel welcome. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a nice secluded escape. We hope to be able to come back in the future.
Thank you for your positive comments and recommendation. We are pleased that you chose our hideaway for such a special occasion and hope you will come back and stay with us again. Thank you also for your entry into our guest book detailing the sites you visited during your visit. We always enjoy hearing what our guests liked about local attractions and about our farm in particular. Joyce and Rick Hubbard
Truly secluded!! Very beautiful, quiet, and relaxing place to stay! A little gem in the woods! Can't wait to stay again!
Even better than advertised!
My wife and I have stayed in several cabins that advertise as being secluded, weren’t. Not by my idea of seclusion. This cabin was truly secluded, and private. I am OCD, and I had no issues. The house was set up nice, and very clean! I have never used a hot tub at any place we have stayed previously, this one was very clean and looked new, it was nice to sit in and relax with a cold one.
Thank you for this great review. We are very pleased to know our hideaway was just what you needed and were looking for. We hope you will return soon.
Perfect anniversary get away!
Just wanted to start off by saying Joyce and Rick Hubbard, you guys are amazing! The reviews on this amazing hideaway of yours dont do it justice what so ever to include my own. The amount of thought put into every little detail really blew me and my wife away. It was so relaxing,so quiet and so peaceful my wife and I found it very hard to leave. My wife and I had a perfect 5th wedding anniversary thanks to you. We enjoyed the nature walks, fire pit , hot tub and the blissful peace and quiet. The wife and I joked about retiring (some day) on a property just like yours! We also were able to enjoy a lot of local and not so local attractions . We would very much love to come back ! Thank you again!
It’s great to hear you enjoyed our little piece of paradise on earth. We look forward to your next visit. And, thanks for the Halloween surprise you left for us. I have to admit to a startled scream before a good laugh. Joyce
Most relaxed we have been in a long time!
We both really enjoyed your cabin nestled in the woods. My husband and I got to spend two nights there and by halfway through the second day we talked about never feeling so relaxed. We had one night of rain where we didn't do much but the next day and night was nice and we enjoyed hiking on the property, the pond, and sitting on the back deck. We even saw a family of deer the last morning as we were packing up walking around the little pond and it was so peaceful.
We hope to come back again!
If you are looking for a secluded & romantic cabin, this is definitely the one to choose!
We had an amazing stay, from the moment we started down the private driveway we knew this was the perfect place for an anniversary weekend. The cabin is perfectly equipped with everything you could need. We loved the hot tub and the view! So much peace and relaxation! Planning our next visit very soon!
