The scenery is superb and there are many beaches and coves along the way. Further afield you can visit Salcombe, Dartmouth, Totnes, Noss mayo, newton Ferrers, kings bridge and many lovely villages.

Very well equipped Lodge, right by stunningly beach!
Just come back from a fantastic holiday at Woodcutters Lodge. Everything you want in a holiday home. The only downside would be the lanes to get to it but apart from that, wonderful lodge in a beautiful part of the world!
Thank you Samantha, yes some of the lanes are a bit on the narrow side, but can add to the charm.
A cosy cabin near to the best beach
Lovely week in the Woodcutter's cabin. Very well-equipped, nice and warm. Excellent location near the incredible Bantham beach, and also very handy for the other lovely spots in the area. the cabin is down in a valley, so the Milky Way is visible on a clear night - so many stars.
We were a little unlucky with noisy neighbours on one night, but for the rest of the week it felt secluded and peaceful.
Thank you Jeremy, so pleased you had a lovely time there, I can only apologise on behalf of the noisy neighbour.
We had only a 3 night stay at the Woodcutters but what a lovely 3 nights it was!
It is a lovely place tucked away down a narrow lane in a beautiful valley. The garden was so well kept and stunning to sit in with views all around and so much wildlife to see. Our two boys aged 7 and 9 loved it and want us to book to stay there again soon but for longer next time.
On a practical note the property had everything you needed and there were plenty of fresh towels. There is no phone signal here (which we loved) but with a landline there you are still connected to the outside world if needs arise.
All in all this is a perfect place to stay to get away from it all but still easy to access lots of wonderful attractions that Devon has to offer. We would recommend this property to other families alike.
What a lovely review, thank you Clare. We share your feelings, but have to admit to being a bit biased.
We also find it is very popular to couples to do a bit of relaxing, exploring or chilling out.
Perfect peaceful little cottage
Beautiful quiet spot, perfect for a relaxing break. Easy to get to beaches and nearby places from this cottage, as long as you don't mind the narrow winding roads. Great for families. We will definitely try and come back!
Fabulous, we are delighted you enjoyed it so much.
Great place, had everything we needed for a pleasant stay in Devon
A great place to escape from modern life
Lovely little wooden cottage hidden away off the narrow Devon lanes by narrower drive to bottom of the valley
Only draw back for dog owners is this steep drive has to be tackled before you access any of the surrounding foot paths.
Also bantham beach restricts dogs.
The property itself was perfect for our needs with crisp white bedding and plenty of towels. Kitchen well equipt.
Surrounded by fields and a bubbling brook very tranquil setting and the stars at night were breath taking.
A small fenced in section beside cottage was great to house the dogs as we unloaded and reloaded the car as the main garden is open to the very quiet driveway.
Overall the property was clean I think because we were there at the end of the season things like the cooker hood and splash backs weren't quite as shiny.
The owner was a pleasure to deal with and just left us to it some properties we reviewed it sounds like the owners would pop over everyday which would have driven me crazy
It's a beautiful part ok the uk just the driving shouldn't be tackled by the faint hearted
