I'm really sure I stayed at the best place in all of San Ignacio. The bungalow was cute and clean. It had everything I needed, and more than enough room for just me -- 2 or 3 more people would've still been comfortable. I was close enough to downtown to walk there in 15 minutes, but far enough out to be away from the crowds. The yard was a tropical haven, obviously well cared for, and local wildlife enjoyed visiting, as well.
Peter, Jenny, & family are amazing people. Their love for animals, nature, and Belize shined through. They helped me set up tours, told me the best places to visit, answered all of my silly questions, and made me feel like a friend. My only regret is not getting to meet Marty, the resident armadillo, who seems to be an elusive fella, according to Peter... 😁 But, I'd definitely stay here again when visiting San Ignacio.
Thank you, Gair family, for your warm hospitality and for a wonderful stay.
Thank you so much for staying with us. We are so happy you enjoyed stay and we really enjoyed having you here and look forward to welcoming you back the next time you visit San Ignacio.
Regards Peter & Family
Our cabin was adorable and the grounds were beautiful. We wish we could've stayed longer.San Ignacio was also a really comfortable and interesting town and it was in very easy walking distance.
Very clean. Great location on the edge of town. Owners always available and helpful.
When we arrived mid afternoon it was very hot and we were concerned with how that might hinder our ability to sleep at night. But the fans moved air thru the cabana and also helped block out the noise of barking dogs and crowing roosters. We had no problems sleeping. Iguana Roost is small. My wife and I were out and about a lot so the small space wasn't a problem. The owners were always available and very helpful. They gave us a first day supply of coffee and provided us with earplugs (did not need to use them). They made the arrangements for our trip to Barton Creek Cave. They gave us towels to use when we spent an afternoon at a pool. They were very hospitable and personable.
