This dramatic condo has a fabulous corner location and private roof deck that makes the most of the views of the Gulf and the spectacular Pointe Santo grounds and lagoon. Fully remodeled and professionally redecorated to luxury standards. Complete with everything including a fully equipped kitchen, four flat-screen TVs, DVD/CD stereo and washer/dryer. The living room has a high-definition plasma TV, Bluray disc player and Bose surround sound system. The master suite has a king bed, whirlpool tub and double walk-in shower. The guest suite has two full-size beds and a walk-in shower. The office nook has a PC with flat-screen display and color printer, cable modem for high speed Internet access, and wireless and wired connections for guest PCs.

Pointe Santo's tropically landscaped grounds include swimming pool, hot tub, tennis, gas grills and a range of staffed children's activities. With one of the best beaches on Sanibel, it is the ideal location to enjoy the Gulf and collect shells. It is close to several golf courses as well as fabulous restaurants, shops, boating, and fishing.

Sanibel Island is the ideal family vacation spot. 28 miles of bicyle paths criss-cross the island and run right past the Pointe Santo complex. The famous 'Ding' Darling Wildlife Refuge is nearby.

About The Owner

We love Sanibel Island. It's quiet, peaceful, and laid back. Half the island is nature preserve. There are no high rises or chain restaurants. The beach is beautiful and uncrowded--and the best shelling anywhere. You cross the causeway to the island, and you feel like you're in a different world.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2005

Why The Owner chose Florida South Central Gulf Coast

We visited and stayed in rental condos many times before buying at Pointe Santo. It's at the southernmost point on the island with a wide sandy beach. Pointe Santo is very 'family friendly'--with four grown children and three grandchildren, that was very important to us. The grounds are beautifully maintained, and we love to walk around and look at the flowers in bloom. In early 2005 we rented one of the condos, saw an 'Open House' sign, and bought a condo before we left. Now our family owns two Pointe Santo condos - penthouse D-47 (VRBO 1682) and beach-level E-2 (VRBO 170782).

What makes this condo unique

D-47 is at the top front corner of a building that's just steps from the beach. It features a private rooftop sun deck with panoramic views of the ocean, beach and grounds. It has been fully remodeled and professionally redecorated to luxury standards, with three flat-screen TVs, a PC, printer and high-speed Internet, and a beautiful kitchen fully equipped for people who like to cook. Everything you need for a perfect vacation is included. Our guests tell us 'Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us -- it really feels more like a home than a vacation rental.'

Happy in the "Show Me State"

We just returned from a Point Santo, unit 47, all we can say it was lavishly equipped. All the amenities you'd expect in a high end property. The penthouse view was fabulous. It was the perfect vacation on Sanibel with a great location. We will be back next year. We really appreciated the call from the owner upon arrival day telling us about the Farmers Matket and top restaurants.

Perfect week

We just returned from a lovely stay at Pointe Santo in D-47. We enjoyed every aspect of our week, from the comfortable, clean, and well-equipped condo, to the sunny warm weather, to the beautiful beach and grounds of Pointe Santo. This condo's rooftop terrace is such a unique feature providing the most beautiful views. We appreciated all of the extras around the condo: beach towels, beach chairs & toys, laundry detergent, saran wrap, aluminum foil, salt & pepper, spices, flashlight, etc...that many condos do not provide. It truly was a home away from home. The owner Dave is so personable, caring & attentive. He offered great suggestions regarding restaurants and the farmer's market. Pointe Santo is located at the southernmost point of the island, where you can see both sunrise and sunset from its beach. What a perfect way to start and end each day. We are already looking forward to our return to this condo next March!

Great stay at Pointe Santo

Though we've stayed on Sanibel many times before, and in different complexes, this location - and unit - is now at the top of our list.

The unit is updated, and features a nice rooftop deck accessed via a spiral staircase on the balcony. The kitchen and baths are completely updated, and I don't think we've ever seen a condo as nicely stocked with non-perishables , kitchen accessories and other extras as this one.

This is the kind of unit where you walk in, see the nice upgrades all over, and come to the conclusion somebody put a lot of thought into the design. Everything spoke of quality.

The owner (Dave) and I corresponded a couple of times beforehand, and his welcome call to us after our arrival was a wonderful gesture of hospitality.

As stated, though we've been visiting Sanibel for a while, Dave gave us some good restaurant tips on places we hadn't yet been made aware of. To top it off, he mentioned the Sunday morning Farmers Market as something to visit. We did, and what a hoot! We came away with produce, fresh seafood, fresh salsas and guac, breakfast goodies, even fully-cooked BBQ items! All of a sudden we were well-stocked with provisions for our week :)

I really appreciated the convenience of the location of the unit, from the assigned parking spot right next to the elevator, to the easy walk to and from once inside the building.

Overall a very peaceful complex, which is also refreshing. While the main pool area is on the small side, like everyone says, "it's Sanibel; people are here to enjoy the beach."

We're looking forward to visiting again!

We're glad you found the Farmer's Market as much fun as we do. We're there every Sunday to get our provisions and often dinner to take out. Very nice place

I spent a week here at the start of May. The property was nicely furnished, comfortable and spotless. The kitchen set up was perfect, with everything you could need, and plenty of crockery so you didn't need to keep running the dishwasher. The roof terrace was very pleasant, but getting too hot in the middle of the day! D-47 is at the top and end of the building, so there is virtually no foot traffic past the front door. The screening on the balcony keeps the bugs away, as does the cover at the top of the spiral staircase to the roof patio. The air conditioning is very effective. I had a very comfortable stay and have no reservations about recommending it.

Pointe Santo has nicely kept grounds, as is well positioned on the island for getting groceries (they both deliver anyway!) and visiting the attractions.

This condo at Pointe Santo De Sanibel is lovely! Looks great, comfortable beds, well appointed, great views of the water and courtyard/pool. Very short walk to beach. Property owners/managers are very accommodating. Highly recommend!
