About this property

Located in the heart of Belmont Shore, where you can enjoy your morning coffee with an unbeatable view of the Alamitos Bay from our patio or dock. Oh did we mention its the house from Showtime series Dexter?

Brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances. Brand new carpet with combo wood floors.
We have a great patio with patio grill that is available for use as well as a private dock reserved for our unit and renters. There are paddle boards and kayaks available for our guests to enjoy. ***Please be advised; usage of bikes, paddle boards, kayaks and dock space are at your own risk. Adult supervision of children on the dock is mandatory****

This property is a 2 floored duplex with owner on top floor. The 3 bedroom 1.5 bath guest rental is on the first floor. The floors are separate with their own private entrances.

Interaction with guests

We are here to assist you or answer questions for anything you need. We do live on the property but a separate floor. (the building is a duplex) But we will respect your privacy as well.

Other things to note

There is NO smoking on the property, including the patio. Guests may smoke on the dock but please collect all ash and remnants.

Musty and Needs Work - Did Not Stay

We ended up not staying at this house. The paint on the exterior of the house is peeling terribly, and many of the exterior wood window frames are rotting. Inside, the window sills have visible water damage and the house feels and smells wet and musty. Within an hour of arriving, we let the hosts know that we would not be staying in their home and requested they provide us with some kind of refund. They unfortunately stated that they would not refund anything to us. Very disappointing.

Veterans day stay

The house was cute and suited our needs. The beds are just ok but the patio area was really nice and relaxing to sit around.

Beware

This property needs some major structural work. The windows were leaking as well as the ceiling from the upstairs unit due to a large rain storm. However, it was apparent that this had been going on for some time due to water damage in the unit. While the owners did make us aware the day we were checking in, we didn’t realize how bad the situation was. My son and I have been sick since we left there with asthma and sinus issues no doubt due to mold exposure. They were having repairs done soon, so hopefully they can remedy these issues quickly. The area was great and the surrounding homes are beautiful. In addition to the water issue the home is a “shoes off” listings however the carpet in the unit is so old and dirty that we didn’t feel comfortable walking on it without socks or slippers on our feet.

Great Beach House

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It really is in a great location for anything in the Long Beach area. The neighborhood is beautiful and safe. While the weather prevented us from using the outside lounge are or get out to the water it all looked amazing. The kitchen feels new with everything you could ask for and there was plenty of space in the living room/dinning room area.
