SEE FLOOR PLANS AT Cape Cod Five Star ... Luxury, luxury! Enjoy stunning panoramic views of Provincetown harbor from this five-star, ocean-front designer home. You'll never tire of sinking your toes into the warm white sand of this private beach cozied up to the delightful waters of Cape Cod Bay. Take the evenings off while bubbling in this cadillac of hot tubs as the summer sun sets over the iconic Pilgrim Monument. Ocean House was designed taking every tiny detail into careful consideration, infusing every moment with distinct pleasure and comfort. All conveniently located just one mile east of the heart of Provincetown center in the quiet East End. Want to eat in? This house boasts a large gourmet kitchen (fully equipped with superior cooking tools, dishes, pots & pans, bar refrigerator, and more). Whip up your favorite vacation foods while over-looking a gorgeous living and dining space with vaulted cathedral ceilings, all looking out to the water. Central air-conditioning, skylights, 55 inch flat screen 3D Magnolia home theater system, fully-tiled showers: just a few of the comforts you can look forward to while here. Every bedroom has an attached, full private bath, room darkening shades, and an iHome clock radio (some bedrooms also have the option between a king or two twin beds), and the master bedroom includes a full size soaking tub.

A bit more about the property: located in the east end of town approximately one mile from the town center. Perfect for anyone who prefers a quieter, more private setting just a short bike or walk to town. Cell phone service with any major carrier is very good from the property and downtown, with a few interrupted service areas in the dunes and nature trails.

Transportation: getting to town is as easy as a 5-minute car ride; 12-minute bike ride; or the convenient daily shuttle (in season), which transports guests from the end of the driveway to MacMillan’s Wharf every 20 minutes, until midnight.

About Craig Lyon

When still in high school, I designed and built my first vacation home on Cape Cod. Later in University, I studied architectural preservation, with an emphasis on Cape Cod's famous 'Shingle Style' home. In the early 90's, I began designing and building some of Cape Cod's most iconic homes in this style. My travels around the world inspired me to fuse the traditional Cape Cod style with subtle international influences and inspirations. My design personality takes advantage of this global perspective to include the finest comforts from all corners of the world. It has become my passion to find clever ways to subtly incorporate these luxurious influences into the simple and cozy style original to the Cape. Having rented my homes since 1992, I take very seriously my guests' experience. I continue to explore the Cape and find it's most beautiful hidden treasures including my newest home, Harbor House in West Falmouth (Home Away 3835236), now available for reservations. Reservations fill quickly so be sure to book your get-a-away early to enjoy the art of living in these wonderful homes.

Unbelievably Great House

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of ten people, some strangers to one another. The house was the envy of all, and provided plenty of public space for bonding, and private space for napping, etc. Even the design professionals could find no detail of design or maintenance to quibble with, and the professional chef found the kitchen a joy to work in, and perfectly equpped. As beautiful as the house is, it is not at all "fussy," and everyone (including two small dogs and their owners) found it both comfortable and easy to maintain. A great, great house.

Amazing trip to Ptown

  • 5 of 5

This was a great house with an extraordinary location. Beautiful view from main living space and kitchen. The house comfortably fit 6 adults and 2 children plus a dog. Loved the location on the harbor so we could take advantage of low tide walks on the beach and warm, low-wave waters. Hot tub was fun. Easy trip to food store, downtown, dune walks, other beaches. Just a wonderful way to have a large family vacation.

This was our first visit to the Cape. What a great home. We were a party of 10- 7 adults and three kids. Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms, ample living space. Everything about it was perfect.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY!

  • 5 of 5

We rented Ocean House for our wedding. It was the perfect setting for the venue and for us and our families to stay. Elegant. Cozy. Quiet. A perfect fit for us and our wedding guests. The house is beautifully decorated and spacious. Sparkling clean and ready for our arrival a few days before the wedding. Ocean House is within walking distance of the heart of Provincetown and an even easier bike or car ride into town. We all agreed that the beds were THE MOST comfortable beds we have ever slept in! The views of the bay from the First Mate's bedroom is gorgeous! The views from the upper deck, dining and living room, and the lawn is breathtaking! We had to contact Craig a couple times with minor questions and he returned our calls promptly and was helpful in every way. The house and the owner could not have made our wedding day any more special.

If you are looking for a spectacular ocean front house in Provincetown we cannot recommend Ocean House more strongly. It truly is the PERFECT ocean front vacation home.

Stunning inside and out

  • 5 of 5

Several of our friends came together at Ocean House to celebrate our small wedding. The home itself is truly gorgeous; the pictures don't do it justice. Neither in design nor preparation for guests has any detail been overlooked in this home. The decorations are cohesive, and the accommodations are exquisite and meticulously maintained. (An example: I admired the unique and beautiful tiling in each of the en suite bathrooms in a conversation with Craig, and he pointed out that it isn't actually tiling; it's ebonized wood that he'd ordered from India.) At the same time, the home feels accessible. It doesn't feel stuffy or like nothing should be touched; it manages to be homey and incredibly well-appointed at the same time. (There's even a PS4 in the Ship's Brig.)

The house sits at the tip of the crescent that has Ptown on one end, so from the deck, you can see all the way to the tip of the town and the lighthouse. The view straight down below to the shore is stunning at both high and low tides, and the access to the beach is easy. At low tide, you can walk very far out into the bay from where the ocean meets the tip of the Ocean House property.

Some other things that are useful to know: the kitchen is the most well-appointed Homeaway kitchen I've ever been in. Every implement you might need is right there, including a KitchenAid mixer, full (and nice) pots and pans sets, baking sets, etc...! We brought along many things based on past experience that we simply didn't need to bring but couldn't have known it ahead of time. There are two ovens, two refrigerators, two freezers, and five sinks (not counting the bathroom sinks, of course). The amenitie sare a chef's dream; some of our best meals were had standing around the enormous kitchen island with our friends while cooking - the gas stove in the center of the island is an awesome design touch.

Parking can be tight, but if you're willing to shuffle cars, it's no problem. In addition to the two Ocean House spaces in the parking lot, we were able to fit four more cars (stacked, so we had to shuffle to get out) on the garage side of the house. The bike rack is a nice touch as well. I wish we'd had the foresight to bring our bikes along!

Honestly, I can't say we've ever had a better or easier Homeaway experience. If the opportunity to return to Ocean House with a group of friends in the future arises, we would love to come back! That said, we're also excited to check out Tide House! Thanks, Craig!!
