We "rocked the foundation" with our laughter! Thank you for providing wonderful accomodations for our 30th reunion. All of us ladies had a fabulous time. You were a great "judge" of our art projects Jeff, and so impartial too! We hope to return one day.
P.S. The two dishwashers were wonderful idea.
Our group rented this spacious home for a church women's retreat. We had a wonderful time in this comfortable, clean home. It has a pleasant atmosphere with a stunning view. The owner was very kind to work with us regarding some details with our rental, and we were very appreciative. The kitchen was great for cooking and serving our group, and the sleeping accommodations worked out great. Another note: the home has plenty of bathrooms as well - more than other rentals we have used for retreats. We will be returning to this VRBO in the future!
This home is amazing. Views galore and plenty of room to find private space if needed. We rented the two homes combined for the family gathering which was perfect. The fire pit was used on the night of no rain with plenty of chairs for everyone. I think there were about 12 chairs. This house entertainment wise was all on one floor from one end to the other. Plenty of eating space to gather for family meals. Again the views were amazing you didn't mind not being on the beach. The kitchen had everything you would need and then some. There are a lot of stairs and I mean a lot. The older people in the group often opted out of traveling to the other home because of the climb. We also did not go to the beach because of the trek and climb. The younger children made the trek with ease. The positive note why would you want to leave the fabulous view on a blustery day anyway. On closing this home is very accommodating for a large group from top to bottom. Rooms are comfy and cozy.
The place is very nice. We had our family gathering there during the last week in August. The back yard worked well for our family games. The beach access will be better when the stairs are complete. The kitchen areas need some shades because the afternoon sun is very bright. In general we were quite comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. The spring on the right hand dishwasher needs to be replaced.
We had a group of 37 that rented both houses to celebrate our matriarch's 90th birthday. The houses were perfect for our group! Plenty of room to spread out but also great spaces to spend time together. We all loved the beach and playing in the water. The kitchens had everything we needed. We brought wood and had a bon fire each night at the larger house. Jeff took very good care of us!
We had 20 people (including one baby and one teenager), and I had concerns whether the place would be big enough. The owner allowed us to pitch a tent outside, but it turned out not to be necessary. There were plenty of fold-out beds and three large family-sized rooms that could serve as bedrooms (as well as huge walk-in closets that could fit mattresses,... but we didn't need them). Moving one table from one of the rooms allowed us to create an eating space that fit us all comfortably. The baby ate in a baby chair which the owner dug up somewhere -- highly appreciated!
The beach is very long (I did not discover where it ends). There are two access routes: one close and somewhat challenging and the other a short walk away and relatively easy but still not accessible to those with difficulties with stairs. One of us is wheelchair-bound. She was able to visit the house but not stay there. Another of us (95 years old) had no problems with the house, though she didn't make it to the beach. Easy parking for four cars, and six or seven cars are quite possible.
Interactions with the owner were all pleasant and productive.
The home was in good shape and was very clean. The two dishwashers, two refrigerators and two coffee makers made it nice for our large family reunion. The driveway was steep but parking worked out OK for about 8 vehicles at a time. A couple more would fit if you pack them in. If we plan a reunion in the area again, we will consider this house again.
