We have had an exciting fall with some renovating! We have recently replaced all of the carpet on the second and third floors with the lastest in vinyl plank flooring and have completed some painting. We are very pleased with the results and hope you will be too!
Park your car and walk or bike to everything on the island! Our home borders the King & Prince Hotel property, so the location cannot be beat. The beach is a short two minute/one block walk from the front door. Or turn the other direction and in less than a minute you have three of the best restaurants on the island at your disposal -the Crab Trap, Crab Daddies, and the Beachcomber. Not to mention Ocean Motion for all of your kayaking, beach and biking needs. The King & Prince also offers oceanfront dining and a nice lounge for cocktails and appetizers. Our home is a townhome situated on four levels. The first level contains a 1 car garage. Behind the garage is a bedroom with a queen bed and a bath and a TV, which has access to a patio that is gated - a perfect spot to store beach equipment and bikes and rinse off the sand from the beach. This is a great room for grandparents or a babysitter since it is more private.
The second level is completely open and perfect for socializing. There is a large, fully equipped kitchen, half bath, living area with TV, DVD, and stereo, and a sizeable deck with a settee and a table and chairs and stairs that lead down to the patio. The third floor has two large bedrooms (queen in each) and a 'Jack and Jill' bathroom.
The back bedroom on this floor has a TV and a covered deck outdoor seating, perfect for reading and relaxing in the shade or enjoying a beverage, away from the main living area. The fourth level contains a sun deck, a 'crows nest', and a loft with a double bed, which is great for teenagers seeking to get away from the family for a little while (note that this area is not conducive for smaller children as it is very separate from the rest of the home and has access to the roof deck). Enjoy a drink on the top deck as you watch the ships on the ocean or look over the marsh.

Note: This property is NOT part of the King & Prince, so there is not access to their pool. However, there is a beautiful public pool by the lighthouse with a huge kids area.
My husband and I are native Atlantans and currently reside in Dunwoody. I have been coming to the St. Simons area my entire life. My husband fell in love with the area during a visit to St. Simons over New Years Weekend 2000. On an impulse, we purchased our first property on St. Simons during that fateful trip and it was the best decision that we have made. We love visiting the area with our 2 girls and can't wait for the day that we can spend even more time on the coast.

We loved the location of this property. We can walk out the door and be at the beach in 2 minutes. We also loved being able to walk to several great restaurants and over to the King and Prince for a coffee in the morning or a lunch by the pool. From the top deck we watch the ships come and go and the fireworks on New Years and the Fourth of July and never have to leave home.
Due to the floorplan of the unit, you are afforded much more privacy than in a typical condo or hotel. With the living areas spread out on 4 levels, it is easy to find a little quiet time. And the large living room/kitchen area is a great place to be when everyone wants to be together. Our guests love the covered decks and the private patio area, especially for the pets.
Thank you very much for letting us rent your St. Simons condo for the third year in a row. We love the location! Alan and his dad love hanging out at the top perch of the condo. We look forward to coming back next year.
We love St. Simons Island and found this house to be a great base for our playtime on the island this year. It was an easy walk (paved all the way) to the beach. The owner had a couple of boogie boards and a beach chair available at the house. You can also rent lounge chairs, umbrellas and SUPs on the beach approach.
The house had plenty of room for us to spread out and do our own thing or come together for meals and games. The dining table had plenty of space for our group of 6.
The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals in house. There was plenty of silver ware, utensils and lots of drinkware. There is even a Foreman grill if you would rather not grill outside.
The 4th floor bedroom has a double bed and would be difficult to sleep 2 adults. The beds were comfortable. The rooms sizable.
We will return.
This was our 5th summer staying at this property, so it really has become our home away from home. My 6 year old daughter thinks this is "our" summer home. Every year the owner surprises us with new upgrades. This year we walked in on nice new vinyl plank flooring and new dining room set. Although there are a lot of stairs to climb, every room is somewhat private. My in laws stay in the first level bedroom while my family stays in the 3rd level bedroom and we all either hang out in the living/dining area which is on the second floor or on top of the perch enjoying the ocean breeze and ocean view. We typically stay busy during the day (cycling to the village to eat and shop, crabbing with our kids on the pier or playing on the beach). We also usually take a day trip to Jekyll Island Summer Waves which is about a 30 min. drive from St. Simons. We love vacationing at Saint Simons every year and coming back to this condo because it IS "The Best Location on St. Simons". Not only is it walking distance to the King and Prince Resort, the package store, the Ocean Motion store where you can rent bikes, kayaks, shop for clothes, it is also walking distance to nice restaurants from delicious shellfish to BBQ. I highly recommend this place. It is a great value.
Our family has rented this townhouse at least 5 weeks in the past few years. We love how spacious the rooms are and all the outside decks. Our favorite deck is on top of the townhouse. We enjoy sipping wine at night with nice breezes and beautiful stars and sunsets above us. Several of my family members enjoyed the new outdoor shower after a day at the beach, which by the way, is only a block or two away. Location is definitely a draw to this gem. We can also walk to Beachcomber for lunch and Crabdaddy's or CrabTrap for dinner. Thank you for the upgrades that you've recently made. We hope to come back each year!
We come back to this condo year after year and have never been disappointed. It's comfortable, clean, well appointed and in a terrific location just steps from the beach. The owners make regular improvements and are always available via email if you have questions or concerns. I would recommend this property to anyone who has the ability to climb stairs. I particularly appreciate the fact that it's dog friendly, as is St. Simons Island in general.
This property is perfect for experiencing St Simons. Our extended family went for a week and thoroughly enjoyed the condo. Beautiful hardwood floors. Beautiful decks on each floor and an awesome crows nest where you can view the water. Perfect location. Close to the beach restaurants and downtown. We have rented it two years in a row and highly recommend it!!!
Our 2016 SSI stay was the best yet. We have rented this townhouse for five consecutive years and love it more with each passing season. The owners improve it every year (new flooring, furniture) and try to make our stay as pleasant as possible. We will be staying an extra week next year! Can't wait.
