Sebago Cottage Rental Photos and Description

3 Bedrooms, 1 Bathroom, sleeps 6

Enjoy the beautiful views of peaceful, clean, quiet Peabody Pond with 220 feet of secluded waterfront & 12 ft. from the water. Very quiet with very little boat traffic, ideal for a family of 4 -6, or two couples. Clean & well maintained with lots of games, puzzles & movies. We have a nice sandy beach w/a gradual entry into the water & 5 kayaks and a canoe including a tandem kayak. The lake is home to loons, ducks & other wildlife; perfect for kayaking, canoeing, fishing and swimming. There is a swim float for deep water diving, a 40 ft. long dock & a arge yard situated on an acre lot so there is lots of privacy. The lake is 2 miles long by 1.25 miles wide, 65 feet deep & is located northwest of Sebago lake. It is stocked with salmon, trout, and small mouth bass so the fishing is good.We are close to the towns of Bridgton and Naples & several nice spots for hiking; N. Conway is a 45 minute drive & Portland

There is a wood stove to warm the cottage on cool Maine evenings in the late summer and fall. There is an upstairs loft with a high ceiling that comfortably sleeps 4. No jet skis. Parking for 3 cars.

Great lake for kayaking. Almost no motorboat traffic and we provide 5 kayaks, including a 16ft. long tandem kayak so 5 people can go out kayaking to the island or along the shore and enjoy the wildlife - loons, turtles, etc. Lifejackets are provided for children and adults .

About Cate or Bill Murphy

This is our second home and we use it often. We want our guests to enjoy it as much as we do. We have been renting it for the last 8 years and many families have enjoyed a week here in the summer or fall, kayaking, swimming and just spending time at the lake. The morning sunrises are breathtaking. We added a nice sitting dock this year , More pictures coming soon.

Peabody Pond very nice place

  • 5 of 5

This was our 1st time on Peabody pond. You couldn't ask for a better location for a cottage (or as the people of Maine call it "A CAMP"). Peabody pond was so nice and peaceful not a lot of boat traffic so it was very nice to kayak on and fishing from the dock was great. We caught many small and large mouth Bass. The cottage was very cozy and comfortable. Since you are only 12 ft from the water you could almost fish while watching TV. The beds were very comfortable, and the house was very clean. We loved the sandy beach area, and the fire pit at night. The pics and the description of the cottage were very accurate. The yard was very clean and the lawn was nicely cut. One great thing was the kayaks and canoe that came with the house. We kayaked everyday and when you are looking at other cottages as your kayaking you will notice it seemed like this was the only cottage with a sandy beach. Most were rocky shore fronts. We dealt with Cate (the owner) she was very nice to deal with, if I needed info before we got there or while we stayed I would email or text her and she always responded quickly. She was very good with the paper work for staying there and mailed us our deposit very quickly after we left. I would recommend this cottage to anybody that would like to get away and enjoy a nice quiet peaceful vacation. I would like to say thanks again to Cate for making our stay easy to arrange, and letting us stay in such a nice place. We really enjoyed it very much.

Relaxing vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and children stayed here with my best friend and her family. It was exactly what we were looking for.. Water, perfect weather and relaxation! Enough space for both families, kayaks and canoes were a bonus.. We used them everyday! We took a 40 min drive to storyland for my sons 3rd birthday. Overall we had a great time and would definitely return in the future! Cate was very pleasant to work with! Thanks Again!

A Rare Gem

  • 5 of 5

My mother, sister and I have had the fortune of visiting this camp for many years. It is our unusual and cherished time to unplug from responsibilities and just 'be'. The lake is one of the most untouched waterfront spots I've experienced in Maine. It is ever so peaceful with sounds of the loons and views of the pristine water with trees across the pond. Last year we were honored to see a baby loon on its mother's back-such a treat! We are truly able to unwind and refresh here. Thank you Cate and Bill for sharing your slice of heaven!

Beautiful Place to Stay!!!!!!

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I decided to rent this cottage for a Wedding Anniversary so that we could relax and recharge our batteries. The process of renting and working with the owners was very easy and they were completely accommodating of every request be it all we had were small requests. The cottage was very nice and is exactly how it is explained! The view alone is making my wife and I rent again next year but the peacefulness and quietness of the property was exactly what we were looking for. The wood stove worked very well to heat the cottage and made the nights very cozy sitting and looking at the pond through the large glass slider. They owners stock the cottage with just about every amenity you would need to disconnect and enjoy some time to relax. We heard very few cars, people, noises in general except for the occasional owl, loon, or water breaking on the sandy shore. My wife and I kayaked on the first day and hiked the second day up Bald Pate Trail nearby! It was a very relaxing stay and we couldn't have asked for anything more. We look forward to staying here again and because I was a little reluctant to write a review because I don't want to compete with others for another chance to stay. But the owners were very nice to work with and deserve their property to be booked as much as possible as others would love this view and cottage as much as my wife and I did. Great Place, Great View, Great Stay, Can't wait to return!!
