Casa Animarc is a spacious villa situated in the heart of the tiny village of Venta Baja, amidst an area of outstanding natural beauty with spectacular views of the Sierra Tejeda Mountains. Within a 5 minute drive is the village of Alcaucin which provides access to the National Park - in 3 miles you can be 'higher than the eagles' with paramount views. The beautiful Lake Vinuela is 5 minutes drive away, here you can fish, swim and follow paths around the lake. There are many inexpensive, typically Spanish restaurants nearby, some within easy walking distance. Furnished and equipped to a high standard, the villa has two large terraces as well as an enclosed garden area. Casa Animarc offers peace and tranquillity and is suitable for sun worshippers and walkers alike.

Further attractions: The beautiful whitewashed villages of Periana and Comares are only a short drive away. The stunning city of Granada with the famous Alhambra Palace is less than 2 hours drive away. An excellent road provides easy access within 20 minutes to the coast at Torre del Mar - the nearest beach. The popular holiday resort of Nerja is just 30 minutes by car. The Sierra Nevada (for skiing in winter) is approximately 90 minutes away.

Bright lights: If you're looking for bright lights, discos, fish & chip shops and English bars, then don't come to Venta Baja. However, if your idea of a holiday is to relax, unwind, soak up the atmosphere of traditional Spain, explore on your own, then look no further! Casa Animarc is child-friendly and we welcome bookings from families, and groups of friends alike.

About Jenny Yates, Di Preece

Casa animarc was in the process of being built when we bought it. We decided to buy the property because we fell in love with the surrounding area. It is in a very beautiful area of Spain. We all live and work in the UK but usually manage to get out to Casa Animarc several times a year.

Why Jenny Yates, Di Preece chose Axarquia (Costa del Sol)

Casa Animarc is easily accessible. You do not need to drive up very windy and steep roads. It is in a rural area but very close to local amenities.

What makes this villa unique

One of the great benefits of Casa Animarc is that there are many lovely walks in the local area. You can go for walks on our doorstep, or drive down to Lake Vinuela and go on various walks around the lake. If you like more challenging walks, the national park is only a very short drive away - and if you are really up for it you can climb to the top of the mountain La Maroma.

Wonderful & relaxing Villa, stunning location

We booked a weeks stay for our family of four on the recommendation of a previous guest. The villa, the location and the communication/booking were all that we had been told they would be and so much more.

All the facilities were accurately described, the pool and villa immaculate, and so many little 'extras' that made for us experiencing a perfect holiday together. We enjoyed the villa so much that we hardly left for days out or to eat as we were so relaxed.

A short walk to the main road and the shops catered for our needs (especially the butchers that had great marinated products for the BBQ & cheese and ham).

We have only been home a week and are already planning our return!

Highly recommended.

A great peaceful location, child friendly villa, home from home, clean and spacious. ! Great for young children , my grandchildren 3 and under 1 when we went . We love it there and have booked again ! Up in hills near to local shops, restaurant and bars , but off tourist trail! If it's peace and tranquility this is it, in an area of natural beauty, near enough to drive to coast and Granada. You do need a car, but to me it has the lot! For a happy holiday with the family.

An idyllic villa in a beautiful location.

We have stayed at Casa Animarc 8 times in the last 6 years and have another fortnight in early July. We love the villa. It is large, well appointed and has lovely views of the nearby mountains. The pool is large and it is always clean as is the whole villa. The location is in a quiet village but there are numerous restaurants within a few minutes. The villa is very easy to get to from Malaga airport, being a 45 minute drive.

We go as a couple but with 3 good sized bedrooms and 2 bathrooms as well as an excellent kitchen it could comfortably accommodate a large family.

This is a beautiful part of Andalucia well off the beaten trap but visits to Malaga, Nerja and Granada are easily made.

In short we would recommend Casa Animarc to anyone who wants a Spanish holiday away from the crowds.

Great villa & location

We have stayed at this villa several times and keep coming back. We always enjoy our visits and find the villa comfortable, clean and well-equipped with the bonus of a decent size pool. Stituated in a small village in a quiet location, it is an ideal base for exploring the countryside and visiting the coast, or for doing nothing more than relaxing and enjoying the views, whilst a selection of shops, restaurants and bars are within easy walking distance. Highly recommended.

A delightful place to be

The property is situated in a quiet hamlet in the Andalusian hills and makes a great place to relax and savour the amazing countryside of this area. The views from the villa are incredible whether by day or night, and it is particularly pleasant to enjoy the pool late in the day if it’s summer when the blazing sun has cooled just slightly. The property itself is very comfortable with 3 good sized bedrooms and the kitchen facilities are not lacking in anything. Whether you want to read a book with a glass of wine on the terrace or watch TV in the lounge Casa Animarc appeals, and there are a few good local restaurants within a pleasant 20 minute walk.

Relaxing place to be

Casa Anna Marc located in the quiet village of Venta Baca, is fully equipped, spotlessly clean and a very relaxing place to be, I would defiantly recommend it to family and friends.The views from the villa are beautiful and so is the surrounding area.

Venta Baca retains friendly Spanish Charm, but if you were missing the hustle and bustle, a short drive away is the cosmopolitan shopping centre of Eroski or the town of Valeze Malaga where you can stroll through the streets with the local’s on their daily shopping trips, also the beach at Nerja for sand and tourist gift shops is only 40mins drive.

The first time I visited Casa Anna Mark, I found everything I needed for a relaxing time, was there, pool, fully equipped kitchen, satelite TV, videos, book share scheme and with the grocery shops, bakery, restaurants (for the nights I chose to eat out) only a short walk away.

The owners were very helpfull and informative when doing the booking, I decided to go again.

The next time I visited Casa Anna Marc, my sister and I hired a car, it was great, we knew the area, and with a car we found we were in a ideal central location to explore more of the beautiful Andulcian countryside.

To sit on the terrace, beside the pool, glass of local wine in hand, the sun setting in the distance over the spectacular hill top village of Comares.

Short breaks with a minimum stay of 3 nights can also be considered.
