Williamsburg Cottage Rental Photos and Description

Private Lakefront Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + futon, 1 Bath, (Limit 5)

Pine Knot is a private, lakefront cottage located on wild and scenic Lake Skegemog, part of the Elk-Skegemog-Torch-Clam-Belaire Chain of Lakes - the largest Michigan inland waterway covering over 60 square miles.

At Pine Knot, you'll have your own private beach, dock, and Shore Station boat hoist that will accommodate a 3600#, 8 ft. wide boat. You can explore the over seven miles of natural shoreline, swim in the crystal clear water, or fish for Skegemog's renowned Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Muskie. Lake Skegemog is excellent for kayaking with a myriad of wildlife including Bald Eagles and Loons. Bringing your boat is made easier with the circular driveway, spacious yard and boat launch just down the road.

The cottage can accommodate 5 guests with a queen bed, a double/twin bunk and a futon for comfortable sleeping (sheets and towels are not provided). There is a Smart LED TV and WiFi. Pine knot is well equipped, located 20 minutes from Traverse City, and on a truly spectacular lake.

One of My Favorite Vacation Spots!

  • 5 of 5

My family has been visiting this cottage for nearly 15 years! The cottage gets nicer and nicer each year, with new improvements like carpeting, furniture, and hardware. The property is lovely and always neatly kept. We spend our time reading in the sun, fishing, and dabbling in Traverse city activities. The city is just close enough for visits but far enough away that the cottage is a quiet haven. I plan to return for as many years as I can!

Excellent Getaway; Beautiful Property

  • 5 of 5

This cottage is as nice as it looks and the owners improve it every year. The beach area is great for kids; shallow enough and room to play. Having a hoist is a huge plus if you bring a boat. Skegemog is a great lake for boating and fishing with bonus links to Elk and Torch lakes. Large lawn is excellent for outdoor games and sunbathing. Short ride into Traverse City and Elk Rapids, yet removed enough to be away from the city bustle. The owners are wonderful and willing with recommendations, knowledge of the area and other assistance. Pine Knot has been our summer getaway for 15 years and we've expanded our stay to two weeks!

Highly reccomend, perfect for family of 4 or more

  • 5 of 5

No surprises, ad accurately describes the property. Perfect for family of 4, or one or two more if you utilize the futon and couch. Kitchen has updated appliances and a coffee maker. Cottage owners were tremendous, they assisted us with local knowledge on nearby attractions, fishing tips, and boat maintenance which I unfortunately needed. Fishing was excellent for pike and smallmouth bass, although a few days were too windy to take my small boat out on the rough lake. While there, we did see deer, mink, turtles, loons and bald eagles. The only downside was that they don't allow campfires, which my kids love.

Great Location and wonderful lake.

  • 4 of 5

Stayed here with a buddy of mine and our sons last June. While the weather was a little un- cooperative the fish were willing to bite. Nice cabin and well worth the price.
