About Craig Costanza
We are a family of four from Vancouver, WA, who love to travel, explore, learn, and eat together.
Craig Costanza purchased this Villa in 2017
Why Craig Costanza chose Loreto
We have traveled extensively throughout Mexico over the years, including: the Copper Canyon, Tulum, Guanajuato, Tequila, Sanalona, Guadalajara, Morelia, and all over Baja, among many other places. When we "discovered" Loreto and all it has to offer a few years ago, we decided it's the best place for our family to share in the wonders of the Mexican culture and the warmth of its people, and for our kids to practice their espanol. And now we share it with you!
What makes this Villa unique
Once we saw Casa Colibri's views, I believe we were sold! Vistas of the Sea of Cortez to the east and the Sierra de la Giganta mountains to the west are truly postcard-worthy. Having a spacious, verdant backyard patio with hummingbirds zipping about also drew us in immediately. Loreto Bay's desert-landscaped walkways, courtyards and hidden fountains made us want to get lost in the maze of narrow, colorful callejones. Not to mention the location of the villa: we are beachside and midway between the Paseo and the lap pool, so everything is virtually a few steps away, whether a morning caffeine fix at El Corazon Cafe, a refreshing dip in the pool, or a relaxing stroll along the beach.

Casa Calibre paradise
Very central location in resort. 5 min's to beach, less to wine bar and El Corazon cafe. Pools close by also. Unit has snorkel gear for two and pool toys for children. Two bikes for getting around resort and a kitchen with the right tools. About the only thing needed in unit is a music source other than TV.
Great house in a great location. Very clean with everything we needed. We will definitely return!
The villa was first class! It is beautifully maintained and very clean. It is a great location, within walking distance to everything in the community. Craig was very helpful prior to our visit and very responsive to my requests. Jenny, the on-site resource, was very pleasant and helpful and also responded to our requests in a timely manner. We visited Loreto Bay with our daughter and granddaughter. Having two bedrooms and a lovely roof-top patio/deck worked very well for us. We liked having a full kitchen (well-equipped) that gave us the option of cooking our own meals or eating out sometimes. We had 6 rounds of golf during the week, visited the bakery almost daily to get fresh baguettes or rolls, got fresh produce from the farmers' market by the bakery, enjoyed sipping our lattes in the coffee shop, participated in several activities at the community centre (e.g., salsa dance classes, Qi Gong and yoga), had a massage at the spa, and enjoyed some dinners at Pedro's Place and the French Bistro. The gardens throughout Loreto Bay are very beautiful and extremely well-tended. The gardeners do an amazing job of maintaining them to create a beautiful and peaceful environment. It was a lovely way to spend our spring break. Thanks to Craig, Jenny and all their staff for giving us such a great holiday. We would definitely stay at this villa again and highly recommend it to others.
Perfect for my wife and I
A very nice place to stay. The villa is nicely furnished and very restful. Loreto Bay is a comfortable community. Everything is within walking distance, beach and pools, restaurants, golf. By the way, the restaurants are very good! And if you want more authentic Mexican experiences the city of Loreto is just a short drive away. We rented a car but you really don't need to. Taxis are easily available.
Our thanks to Craig, the host. We look forward to another visit!
Even better than the photos!!!
Casa Colibri was amazing! Three levels, one better than the next.
Full kitchen, bedroom/bathroom, living room and courtyard on the first level...not to mention washer and dryer.
Second level, another bedroom with bathroom inside and grill and gathering area outside.
Third level, table and chairs to sit and relax and take in the most gorgeous views of the mountains and the sea!!!
Thank you, Craig. My wife and my in-laws and I had a fantastic time. We all recommend this VRBO to anyone wanting to spend an amazing time in Loreto!!!
We Loved Casa Colibri!
This was our third time to Loreto and Casa Colibri was by far our most enjoyable accommodation. It's location in beautiful Loreto Bay was perfect as we like to get our morning exercise in the community lap pool just steps away. We are two couples and love cooking the local fare and Craig's villa had all the amenities needed for creating some awesome meals. The villa was very comfortable with working tv's, wifi, bbq, dishwasher, etc. The beds were cozy with nice linens, and the rooms were very clean. Bikes were available but we never got around to riding them. We look forward to coming back next year! Linda, John, Donna and John
Although many visitors to Loreto Bay find all they're looking for right within the villages community, a few nearby side trips to consider are: 1) drive up to San Javier town and mission church; 2) Snorkeling trip to Isla Coronado's white sand beach; 3) hiking in Tabor Canyon; 4) strolling/ eating/ shopping in and around Loreto's main plaza (zocalo) and adjacent mission church, founded in 1697.
