About Susie Clark

My husband, daughter, and I live in central Florida and escape to the cabin as often as we can get away!

Susie Clark purchased this house in 2006

Why Susie Clark chose Cashiers Area

We LOVE the natural beauty of this area. The mountains have brought us back here for many years and we know you'll fall in love with them, too! We purchased our cabin in Whisper Lake, and plan to split our time between NC and FL after we retire!

What makes this house unique

When we come up to the mountains we not only enjoy the ever changing seasonal scenery, we explore all the area has to offer. In addition to the breathtaking area waterfalls, hiking trails, great golfing, nearby Biltmore house and more, there's always a great new shop to explore, gourmet food markets, restaurants and the Sapphire Valley Amenities are only minutes away. We enjoy the snow tubing, fires on cool summer nights and the incredible fall leaves. We have good friends we love to visit in the area making our time here all the more special!

So clean and nicely decorated!

  • 5 of 5

We were blessed to get to stay at this very comfortable cabin this January. It was such a nice getaway. The cabin is very nicely decorated, but not in a way that makes you feel like you can't live in it. In fact the whole time I was there I think I day dreamed about making it my permanent home! The kitchen is well equipped and the beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed family time while we were there, the recreational center had games and movies we could bring back, we took the kids tubing, the hiking and waterfalls nearby were memory making outings for us! My kids really loved the ping pong table in the game room downstairs. I had such a great time in January, but think it would awesome in the spring and summer as well. We had great rapport with the owners, who were friendly and helpful and kindhearted! They took every effort to make sure we enjoyed our stay! Grab up this gem of a vacation spot, you will not regret it!

Beautiful, Charming and so comfortable!!

  • 5 of 5

We were so lucky to find this charming cabin/house in Sapphire! We loved it. We were there for a week with 4 Adults, one child and 2 Dogs. The decor is like out of a magazine but still so comfortable. The porch and deck are wonderful places to sit and breathe in the mountain air. The fireplace is gorgeous! The area beautiful. Although we went in hopes of snow for skiing and it was warm, we still found lots to do. Went on some amazing waterfall hikes and sat by beautiful Whisper Lake which we walked or ran to every day. It is very quiet yet still close to activities and shopping. Once you do the drive it is not scary compared to many mountain vacations. This house is adorable and cozy and roomy. The owners are great and respond to all inquiries quickly. You can tell they care about guests having a quality experience. Hope to return for some snow activities and for some summer fun.

Gracious private home in the mountains

  • 5 of 5

The home was well-appointed and very livable. We used the kitchen (extensively), the deck, and enjoyed the fireplace on chilly evenings! Golf courses at High Hampton and Sapphire National are close at hand. Very quiet (and dark!) at night, the home felt isolated in the woods - but was actually only a few minutes drive from "downtown" Cashiers. Many hiking trails nearby (just drive to the trailhead and park), and several nice restaurants in Sapphire Valley. You will not be disappointed spending a week here.

Family getaway

  • 5 of 5

Chose this area and particular cabin for our families first mountain vacation. Perfectly located and appointed, just wish there had been a tv in the downstairs living area. Fire pit was put to use for s'mores and the living room fireplace was so cozy . Upstairs bedrooms are a tad small but it was all beautiful , sapphire lake amenities are awesome , will try them again in the spring!

Rachel Segal

I absolutely loved everything about this home!! It had everything we were looking for. Not too far from grocery stores etc, tucked in a beautiful wooded lot. We had a great time, felt like we were right at home. Unfortunately it rained the whole time we were there so thankfully the house was gorgeous and had everything we needed! Susie was so helpful and got back to me right away with any questions I had.
