Words can hardly capture the beauty of this luxury oceanfront estate. Truly the best location on the entire Kona coast. The house is located in exclusive Kona Bay Estates. This community has 24 hour security and is gated. You can walk to Kona village where there is fine dining, shopping, and lots of activities or grab your towel and walk to a white sandy beach and lagoon a few hundred feet away. Keiki beach is ideal for children and swimming. The house sits on over half an acre of tropical landscaping. There is an open air entry through doors to a pond waterfall and a second entry into the house. You will be awe struck with the view of the blue Pacific Ocean overlooking the pool with mosaic turtles.

The main living area has folding doors that open on 3 sides of the house to bring the outside in, along with all the ocean breezes. The main area is fabulous for entertaining, from the gourmet kitchen, large curved granite bar, Koa entertainment center, and dining area for all your guests. With the doors open your living area seems to expand right to the ocean.

The owner has recently added AC in all the bedrooms, updated many of the furnishings, invested in new sliding doors to ensure the open air feeling of the main floor living area is easy to access. There has been additional investment in landscaping upgrades, pride of ownership is evident with the continued investment in the property. Most people have the doors open to take advantage of the sea breezes and/or are away from the home during the day. Therefore, the AC thermostat is preset with a 3 hour timer during the day, operates continuously at night, with a minimum temperature of 74 degrees, which helps reduce electricity costs, while saving the planet.

The master bedroom suite is privately situated upstairs with incredible views. So romantic you'll never want to leave. Canopy king bed, sitting area, etched glass walk in shower, jetted tub, (looking onto the ocean) and walk in closet. There is a separate media lounge area. This area does have a convertible sofa for extra sleeping.

Leading from the media room are spiral stairs up to the observation room with twin beds. The observation room has 360 degree windows for great views of the ocean and mountains. Prefect place for older children to hang out.

The 2nd floor has a 2nd suite with a queen canopy bed, and private bath. The 3rd suite is on the main level with a king bed and lanai overlooking the pond, and water fall.

The home is ideally located within 1 mile of Kailua-Kona village, Kailua pier, abundant variety of dining options, and walking distance to 6 lighted tennis courts, and waterfront shopping. Besides the private pool, there is a swimming lagoon and beautiful white sand beach within the gated community. This lagoon is one of the few places on the Kona Coast which is useable all year round. The shallow water warms during the day making it comfortable for swimming year around.

As part of your reservation, access to concierge services are included. There are options for: maid service, airport pickup, lei greetings, private whale watching/snorkeling/tours, and private chefs.

FRIENDS GATHERED HERE FOR A MUCH NEEDED BREAK FROM THE MAINLAND. THE BLUE WATER HOUSE WAS JUST WANT WE NEEDED.

WE FOUND GOOD SNORKELING BY THE HARBOR, AND THOUGHT THE BITE ME FISH MARKET WAS A PERFECT SPOT TO GET FRESH FISH FOR DINNER, AND DELICIOUS FISH TACOS..

THE SPINNER DOLPHINS PUT ON A SPECTACULAR SHOW ONE MORNING OFF OUR SEA WALL. HOPE THE SUBSEQUENT BLUE WATER GUESTS WITH BE BLESSED AS WELL.

This house is amazing! It is beautiful how the back of the house is open with the lanai. We were lucky the house was available for a couple more days so we extended our trip just so we had time to hang out at the house.

Owner's Response: Aloha and Thank you for the comments. The bi-fold doors are part of the design feature of the home. Unfortunately, the availability of parts is limited on the islands. The house is in a good location but is not being well cared for compared to our prior rentals in this neighborhood. It is a bit under equipped for vacation renters and for longer term renters. One key was provided for three locked bedrooms (and they must be locked for security). There are problems with kitchen cabinets, door hinges falling apart on the oceanfront doors, there was no way to clean the floors (i.e. not even a dustpan), the floors were very dirty and the window glide channels are filthy. There were a few plumbing issues also with faucets coming apart and improperly flushing toilets. Given all that, I would still like to rent the property next year but not at the published 11% price increase given the seemingly lack of care for the property. I notified Kona Coast Vacations about that desire on February 12 and they never responded. I was unimpressed with them on this rental and have used them before.

The owners have recently done some extensive renovations, like adding AC, new paint, and upgrading some furniture and redoing some landscaping, etc. The rate increase reflects the addition of the AC. We did get your email, and to be honest, it was miss-flagged and we apologize for not getting back to asap. Thanks for booking with us again and we appreciate you sharing so we can address these items. The owner and KCV is committed to continuous improvements and most of the items are on the list. Ocean Front properties are subject to some of the harshest conditions with the salt air attacking anything metal including hardware, hinges, door knobs, etc. We will address the other items as well. Had a really pleasant stay. Worth mentioning for those that might be looking for 4 bedrooms that the media room can be accessed directly and that there is a downstairs restroom and outside shower. The setting is really incredible and the place is very quiet and feels very safe. The rooms are spacious and the communal space is fantastic. Really very happy. The only slight disappointment I would say (and I have seen this mentioned in other reviews) is that the spa really isn't even or ever gets luke warm. In fact the swimming pool is the same temperature. I suspect that it maybe needs the heating on all the time and a cover.

this house was very lovely and was in a perfect location on the ocean in a gated community. The house was very clean, three very nice bedrooms as well as a nice loft area with two beds, that could be accessed through a separate living space in the master suite. The only thing I would say I did not like about this home was that, but for the living area, kitchen area and outside, there was no real space for everyone to congregate. Both the separate living area, and nice balcony were part of the master suite, so if you did not have the master, there was no balcony off the other bedrooms. Also, although this did not bother us, there is no air conditioning, which I believe is common in Kona, but it was unnaturally hot there when we visited, so it was a little uncomfortable at times, but the house is so open, I cannot image that one would want to close it up and turn on the air. But it is something to be aware of.
