About Rich and Gail
From Yankton, we live in the San Francisco Bay Area, working in high tech and real estate. We enjoy spending time in Yankton creating memories with family and friends!
Rich and Gail purchased this House in 2017
Why Rich and Gail chose Yankton
I grew up on the Missouri River and jumped at the chance of owning a truly unique property with lots of privacy and plenty of riverfront. We wanted a place to use when we visit family and friends. If you want leave your RV for awhile, you will not find more comfortable beds! The estate has over 2 acres of lawn area - I think it's time to build a softball field - field of dreams on the River. Based on our experiences staying at vacation rentals we wanted to make sure we had extra comfortable mattresses, clean and organized living areas with amenities you can count on- PS we have setup a skating rink weather permitting.

50th Parent's Celebration
We loved our stay at this property. Location was great for it was at the end of a road. We loved the picnic shelter area by the river. We sat there as the kids fished off the bank. It was so peaceful. There was plenty of room for the 12 of us! The pool table downstairs was so nice and our children used it a lot. First time to Yankton and we loved it.
Our stay was an amazing experience! The house was clean and very comfortable. My whole family wants to make this a yearly vacation trip. The river was closer to the house than we expected, which was awesome. Even though the shower was broken downstairs, everyone was excited to use the shower in our master bedroom. They all would have used it anyway...so cool! This was one of the best vacations we’ve had. The last night we had a bonfire in the fire pit, made s’mores and just enjoyed the night. Thank you for letting us use your amazing house! We will definitely be going back.
GRRRREAT PLACE! THANKYOU!
GRRRRREAT place to stay!!! We loved this place! The ONLY reason I gave 4 stars with the "Accuracy of Online listing" is because there is no longer a fenced in back yard or dock, or outdoor hot tub as the pictures show (with little kids around, and the river, we were quite nervous without the fence) BUT.....they had kids' life jackets there for us to use, which was REALLY nice! Aside from that, an AWESOME PLACE!!!! We will be returning!🙂
Great place to stay
Great seclusion but yet close to all the action. River side makes for great relaxation watching the river flow.
This home provides open spaces, ample bedrooms and 3 large bathrooms to accommodate a family or group. The kitchen is open and inviting, and the large dining room table enables all to gather and share meals. Location provides quick drive to area attractions.
Great Property for Us
This home worked great for us. We stayed 3 nights with our high school golf team, coach, one little sister, and a couple of dads. We were gone during the day, but the kids spent the whole evenings (and most the night) fishing out the backyard, and playing pool and video games in the downstairs game room. They had a blast. House was clean and spacious. Really only a couple drawbacks to the place overall: 1. The upstairs bathroom only has a bath and no shower. So anyone staying in the bedroom upstairs with the queen and bunk bed, have to either go through the master bedroom to shower in the master shower (which is open to the bedroom), or go downstairs to use the other bathroom shared by the two downstairs bedrooms. It was a minor inconvenience being not everyone staying was close family with each other. 2. There was nothing in the fridge. No ketchup, no butter, no barbecue sauce, just some water in a water filter. That isn't a big deal, and maybe it's even common. I've only stayed at 3 other VRBO properties, but each one of them had some level of food, condiments, coffee, or whatever the guests can use, and then leave whatever they buy for the next person. Again, not a big deal, but had I known going in I might have brought some stuff from home rather then have to but everything at the store. Anyway, we had a great time and are so glad we booked here rather then stay at hotels, and would definitely recommend this property!
