About Property Manager
Aloha from Jim and Valorie Wisda. We recently moved to Scottsdale, Arizona from Palos Verdes Estates, California where we raised a wonderful son and daughter. We have been coming to Poipu since 1970 and no matter how often we travel to other places or countries we visit, like this picture in Thailand, we always look forward to coming back to Poipu several times a year.
Property Manager purchased this House in 2005
Why Property Manager chose Poipu
We bought the lot a few years after hurricane Iniki while the cost of lots was still low because it offered us the opportunity to help vacationers experience a really wonderful house in a good location at an affordable rent. This house is a couple of houses removed from the water, and the rent is less than half of those houses less than 100 yards away! This is really one of the best values in Poipu. It is a great house in a very good location at a fair and affordable rent.
What makes this House unique
Lushly landscaped yard. Privacy. Best of all, the open living area promotes family gatherings with places to sit and 'talk story', but with plenty of room for everyone to have adequate space.

The pictures are so right on. Our only issue was the heat wave ,ceiling fan in bedroom is not fast enough. Thank god it rained a couple of nights to cool the room. A couple of window units in bedroom and living area is necessary to be comfortable.
Despite a small bump with the check-in (a change in property management) we throughly enjoyed the property. It was very clean, conveniently located, and comfortably furnished. (Bathroom showers could use a little updating.)
Comfy beach bungalow
Very nice little house, everything worked, nice location - all as promised.
We loved our stay here. The home was clean and in a beautiful location. We loved having the yard and deck to enjoy while we were taking a break from our outings. The walk to the beach was just a few minutes and baby beach was fantastic for our 15 month old! It was about 10 minute walk to a shopping center with restaurants and retail stores, and a short drive to several other beaches.
The home has a booster seat, pack n play, kids beach toys, a small cooler, beach towels... all helpful! Just wish there were bikes! ;)
Hi! Thank you for the kind words. We don't have bikes for two reasons. First, all the roads on Kauai are two lane with little or no shoulder for bike riding so I feel the insurance risk to provide bikes would be too great. Second, bikes are such an individual thing: the size needs to be right and the seat and handlebars need individual adjustment. We would have to have a dozen bikes to satisfy everyone and that would have to be added to the rental rate. Providing a great house is our main focus.
Hey, we had a wonderful stay in Poipu. We stayed in the vrbo cottage behind the larger cottage and enjoyed being further from the main road. The lanai was beautiful and every night we watched the parrots come to sleep in the palm trees (although they can be noisy in the am). The cottage was very clean and had all the amenities that we needed. We would highly recommend staying here and visiting baby beach (about 8min walk away).
Wonderful and relaxing stay!
We were fortunate enough to spend a week at Ahe Lani and loved it! My wife & I and our littles, 5 and 8, loved the place. The cottage was clean, quiet and allowed us to have an awesome experience. We would highly recommend and stay here again if in town. The pictures don't do it justice, it was bigger than the photos show. The yard in front is nice and peaceful. The gardens are lush, fun to watch the parakeets come in every night at sunset time. Very short walk to Baby Beach, the shopping plaza and awesome sunsets in front of the Beach House. We loved hiking Waimea, Awaawapuhi trail is a must! We spent a lot of time at Anini Beach near Princeville and really loved Lawai Beach.
Poipu Beach Park, rated #1 beach in America by the travel channel is nearby. Baby Beach and Lawai Beach are within four minutes walk. This is snorkeling, surfing, bodysurfing, and sunbathing heaven. Spouting Horn blowhole is at the end of Lawai Road, as is the National Tropical Botanical Gardens. Restaurants abound in Poipu, ranging from gourmet to hamburger stand. In the evenings, entertainment can be found at Keoki's Paradise and the Hyatt Regency Resort. Most of all, Kauai is home to nature lovers who want to relax and explore the beauty of the island; to see the myriad waterfalls and rainbows; to sail aboard a catamaran to the breathtaking Napali Coast; to watch the whales and dolphins; maybe kayak a river and hike to a secret waterfall; or maybe just read a good book.
