Vacation in a lovely 1200 square foot, two bedroom, two bath beachfront Condo with balcony overlooking the pool, a pristine beach and the Gulf of Mexico on Sanibel Island. Enjoy superb direct views of the ocean, pool, and lush tropical flora from the comfort of the screened lanai, living room, and master bedroom! The 27-unit complex in 5 buildings sits on a quiet dead-end street, next to a wildlife preserve, on Sanibel's Gulf of Mexico shore.

Recently remodelled with new kitchen, granite countertops, crown molding, 6-panel doors, fresh paint, etc, sleeps 6 people, with two large bedrooms featuring king and twin beds, and a spacious living room with sleep sofa. Amenities include air conditioning, 2 phones, 3 TV's with cable, stereo, linens and towels, and washer/dryer. A complete kitchen features a microwave, full oven and stove, cookware and utensils, dishwasher, and outside grills. A private screened balcony overlooks the pool, a beautiful beach, and gulf shore of Sanibel Island.

Direct Gulf Views, Private Beach, Heated Pool: A pristine, white sand beach with blue water and a gorgeous palm lined swimming pool, is in direct view from the condo. The ocean is directly visible from the master bedroom, living and dining areas, and screened lanai, as shown in the photos. There is private beach access, and an extremely well maintained heated pool.

Private Tropic Resort Setting & Many Amenities: This oceanfront resort sits on 13 acres of gulf-front property, adjacent to a conservation area, and surrounded by mangroves, palm trees and other tropical vegetation. With only 27 units in the entire condo complex on this property, there is never a crowd.

In addition to the direct oceanfront setting, private beach access and heated pool, there is tennis, shuffleboard, BBQ Pits on site. The 25 mile bike path that courses throughout the island is located nearby.

Golf, Tennis, Boating, Fishing, Shelling, Cycling: The Dunes Golf and Tennis Club, as well as Beachview Golf and Tennis Club, maintain beautiful golf courses and are located nearby (Beachview less than one mile). They offer club rentals, and The Dunes features an aquatic driving range. They also offer formal tennis programs and fine dining.

Several marinas offer guided and unguided boat rentals to explore the waters around Sanibel, Captiva, and Pine Island. Fishing and shelling are excellent. Dock at a restaurant for lunch.

Twenty-five miles of paved bike paths lead to shops, restaurants, wildlife centers and beaches.

Wildlife refuge and conservation areas occupy nearly half the island, including the famous 6,300-acre Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, home to 238 species of birds, more than 50 types of reptiles, and 32 different kinds of mammals. The refuge features wonderful bird watching spots, bike and walking paths, winding canoe trails and a four-mile scenic drive. Guided boat tours and kayak rentals are offered.

Relax and Enjoy!!

Beautiful well-eqipped condo. Meticulously maintained grounds. Great for relaxing and getting away.

The beach is amazing and perfect for long walks, shell hunting, and sunset cocktails. We checked out the surrounding beaches and none were better.

The heated pool is a delight for children, and you can sit on your balcony and watch them play in the water. The unit had plenty of beach toys for use at the beach or in the pool.

Shop for grocerys before you enter the island - the local grocers are over priced and the quality of meats and fresh food is poor. If you eat out, try the Island Cow, the Blue Giraffe and Matzaluna Italian. Reasonably priced, varied menus, kid-friendly and lots of food.

The area attractions will be satisfying to a nature-lover, but didn't cut it for the adventure seeker. Also, parking at most attractions on the island is a hassle.

We recommend this vacation spot for those who want to get away and enjoy the beach, without spending alot of time sightseeing. That exactly what we wanted to do, and this gem of a unit fit the bill!!

Sandpiper 402...EXCELLENT

My family and I traveled from Chicago and just spent 13 days at Sandpiper 402 (Two adults and three kids under the age of 7). The property was amazing. The pool was very nice and the beach was wonderful. The condo was perfect. There was a small issue with the AC unit not working properly but a call to Royal Shell Management (very friendly and helpful) had the issue resolved within 24 hours. Sandpiper comes with everything you need for a vacation. Ample amount of cleaning supplies (if needed), laundry soap, dish washing soap, vacuum, beach chairs, beach towels, beach toys...etc. Nothing was left out.

We enjoyed the property fully and loved the fact it was pet free and smoke free give that two out of my three kids have asthma (the renters after us stayed in their review that they "thought" we had a "smelly dog" in the condo, which could not be true given the asthma concerns." And for the fact I DONT OWN A DOG!

Overall the Sandpiper Beach properties and Royal Shell Management were outstanding. We look forward to returning to the property in the future.

Condo much nicer than pictures, but ...

The pictures do not do justice, since the unit is renovated very nicely. Bed- and bathrooms were spotless, Bed really nice and comfy.

But ... unfortunately when we arrived at the condo, the kitchen and living room smelled very bad, there must have been a very smelly dog in there (and believe me, I know how a dog can smell), even while there are no pets allowed. In addition, my husband found salad leaves and chips underneath the table. Since we arrived on new years eve, we could not reach out to the keeper and our first task was to buy an anti odor spray. On the 2nd of January we went straigt to Royal Shell and had a bad surprise. They were unfriendly and told us it could not be that it smells in the apartment. Not at all the usual friendly and customer oriented behaviour we normally experience in the U.S..

After a discussion, they cleaned the apartment once more, but again, we there were still some breadcrumbs and other stuff on the floor. The smell was to 90% gone, but it really was a downside for our (expensive) vacation.

In essence, we recomment the condo, but not the rental agency, Royal Shell.

Owner's Response: This is in response to the above review: We rented (We are from Chicago) Sandpiper 402 from Dec 19-30th, 2015. It was a great condo to rent and had a wonderful time. Everything was perfect. I do have some concerns about the above review. First, there was no dog in the condo because we don't own a dog or a pet. Two out of our three children (all under 7 years of age) are asthmatic and are also allergic to pets (dander). We chose Sandpiper because of their strict rules for no pets and/or no smoking policy. If your smelled "dog", I would re-think what a dog smells like because there was no dog in the unit. When we arrived at the unit, we did not the A/C unit not working to full power. We called Royal Shell Management and they were friendly. They took care of the issue within 24 hours. And actually I was joking around with the young man who takes care of the pool and asked him to turn the pool heater up...the next day the pool was perfect. My experience with this unit was amazing and will be a returning guest.

Perfect Family Beach Getaway

We Loved our stay here. Perfect location on the island, close to all of the attractions but tucked away that you feel that the beach is all yours. The pool was empty most of the time we were there which added to the secluded feel. The unit was very comfortable and the recent updates to the living room were an added bonus. We had a great trip and it had a lot to do with the ease of getting checked in, the cleanliness of the unit, the super easy access to the pool and beach. We ate every meal in the screened in porch. Much needed sunshine after the long winter. We will be back!

Our stay was so relaxing ,great location

The pool was never crowded,the condo has a wonderful layout for family of 4 adults. We used the bikes,the tennis court,the pool.the beach is very short walk over well constructed walkway.we went to jet blue park one day, not too far from area.the sunset at captiva was gorgeous..Jerrys down the street is very convenient with cooked meals and has a good restaurant.Never saw so many people of all ages riding bikes all day. I would recommend to family and friends.

Perfect quiet beach getaway close to home

The condo is very clean and when you walk in you step into a spacious kitchen with huge counter/bar which makes it easy to move around.

The view is really nice. From the lanai and master bedroom you look at the pool with the beach beyond. Because it is a small complex it is very family friendly and quiet, which is very important to us. The beach is just a few steps away. The condo is very well stocked for an easy breezy vacation. In the storage room under the condo are comfy beach chairs and 5 beach cruisers which we used a lot. We only had to rent a bike for our youngest son who is 7.

The tennis court is very well kept and we were so bumped we didn't bring our tennis gear.

The master bedroom has a super comfy king bed. We slept like angels.

It was truly one of our most relaxing beach vacations yet.
