Our family came from Chicago, Boston and Hartford to spend a week together and we had the best vacation ever!!! We were close to everything. Our 2-year-old granddaughter so enjoyed her time so much. The house had everything you can image to enjoy your stay on Chappaquiddick!!! Thanks so much to the owner for sharing this beautiful property.
We spend our sunny days on Chappy on one of the secluded strands between the Katama Bay and the ocean, or Cape Pogue Pond and East Beach. We come with clam rakes, umbrellas, and a big box of beer. I love the birds, my wife loves the water and the sun, our friends paddle kayaks or set out bocci, and the kids build castles. The hammock in the yard is good for a novel or two. We grill, cook-up our clams, or bake fresh-from-the-local-fleet fish. Edgartown is easy to reach for walking tours or shopping. Car shopping trips onto Martha's Vineyard always include a stop at Morning Glory Farm for vegetables grown on the island. At least once a season, we have to make the pilgrimage to the carousel at OB, and we love to watch the sunset over by Menemsha.
