We were looking to buy a property in Vacciago for a long time; one fine day we came across the mansion, it was for sale and we decided to buy it on the spot! Lake Orta is more intimate and less crowded than lake Maggiore, Como or Garda and we like it more for its intimacy and historical sites. We started renovating making sure to keep the old original structure. It took almost two years but it was a lot of fun and we believe we brought it back to its original splendour.
The simple free-standing structure, the ample spaces, the intimate garden and the indoor-pool and spa. The convenience of the deli shop next door (the only one in the village) and the intimate location away from the crowd.
We spent 3 days and nights at the palazzo and everything was just perfect.
Manuela, the manager, welcomed us with her charming French and did her best for us. We enjoyed the amazing pieces of design in this historical place, we had great weather, so we could eat in the courtyard every day.
This is THE perfect place to relax ( the spa is very special ) and fare niente except enjoying the place and the people you are with.
We will definitely come back at another season
