Let the Ferguson House provide vacation lodging for your mountain escape. We can sleep 2 - 9 people in comfort. Allow the peace and tranquility of the Smoky Mountains to embrace you from the Ferguson House’s warm knotty pine interior, its front porch or its spacious back terrace extensively landscaped to include a babbling waterfall, fire pit and hot tub. We offer outdoor dining with 2 tables with chairs accommodating up to 10 people. We are motorcycle friendly and welcome riders that want to ride and enjoy the beauty of the area on two wheels. Trailer storage is available. There is covered parking available as well in two car carport.
We have 4 bedrooms with 3, queen beds and one bunk-bed room with a double on the bottom and twin on top. There are two full baths. The home has hardwood floors throughout except in the bathrooms and sun room where they have ceramic tile flooring. There is one large, flat screen TV with DVD player in the living room and another flat screen TV in one bedroom. The open kitchen and hearth room has a gas log wood stove for enjoyment on cool mornings or on winter days. The sun room is my favorite room of the house where you are wrapped in windows that let the sun in as you enjoy the beauty of the landscaped terrace and waterfall. This is a non-smoking home. Pets are not allowed.

Ken is in software sales and Beth is a professional photographer. Both enjoy riding their Harley Davidson motorcycles, exploring the great area that they call home, reading and relaxing and spending time with family & friends. They have three dogs; Charlie, Heidi and Oscar. They are involved in the community with the local Chambers and with their church & choir. They enjoy frequenting the local restaurants and participating in local activities. If you are new to the area they would enjoy sharing their knowledge of the things to do, see and eat while you are here visiting!
Beth Brown purchased this house in 2004
Ken & Beth are originally from Ohio but were drawn to Western North Carolina for the beauty of the area and the people. Over 12 years ago they purchased their 2nd home in Waynesville and began traveling here once a month for a weekend get away. They loved it so much they decided they wanted to be here sooner than later. They found the current property that included a four-bedroom home plus two outbuildings. One became Beth's photography studio and the other Ken's 'home' office. After much blood, sweat and tears the four-bedroom home was converted into a beautifully remodeled and updated, vacation rental. The interior of the Ferguson House has that warm, rustic feeling with knotty pine walls and hardwood floors. The home is incredibly comfortable with beautiful furnishings that give it a 'custom designer' touch. We are so pleased at the transformation that this once average home became. Come see for yourself!
A perfect vacation retreat for small groups of friends and/or family looking to visit Western North Carolina. Whether here for a weekend or week this home offers wonderful amenities. The home is meticulously maintained with the enjoyment and relaxation of the vacationer in mind. Every detail has been carefully thought out and implemented. The Ferguson House is conveniently located on the valley floor in Maggie Valley with year round access and mountain views.
Thank you so much for making your house our "home" while staying in Maggie. Our experience while staying here will be memories that will last a life time. This was our 7th year coming to Maggie but our 1st year staying in a place that felt like home. My daughter brought her clogging team for the 1st time and was an experience they will never forget . From clogging and getting 1st place to hiking up the mountain, taking lots of pictures to having a cook out and enjoying making memories by the fire. Thank you for making a lot of "first" happen and doing it in such a way we will never forget. We look forward to next year and continuing with making more memories in the Ferguson House. Thank you!
We had 4 couples come stay for the weekend and there was plenty of space for us all. The fully stocked kitchen was great since we cooked the whole weekend, along with the grill. We hung out in the hot tub and just had a fun weekend. The owners were super nice and very helpful to make sure we enjoyed our stay! We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Maggie Valley!
The house was everything you see in the picture .very nice and comfortable. .maggie valley is a neat town.Beth and Ken made us feel very welcomed. They were very accommodating.definitely would stay again..
Beautiful home, excellent hosts. Beth was so accommodating and the home provided everything we needed for our little getaway. Perfect location, gorgeous grounds. I can't say enough about our stay at the Ferguson house. Highly recommended!
My buddies and I have now staryed at the Ferguson House on three occassions. The property is spotless---plenty of rooms and baths--several areas for socializing---kitchen exceeds our needs--close to golf and fishing. I have recommended the property to friends who are visiting the area.
Enjoy talking motorcycles and politics with Beth and Ken.
Hope to return in next year or two.
This home is so special. Everything is just perfect. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and we will absolutely be making a return trip. The owners are terrific! Thank you so much for such a great getaway weekend for family.
