i loved the place it was clean and nice.
It was beautiful and amazing!!! The house was spectacular. The pool area was breathtaking.
We were a group of 8 coming to Palm Springs for the Indian Wells Tennis Tournament. We could not have asked for a more amazing place to stay. The house was very welcoming. The management was amazing in answering any questions we might have had. This house was in the perfect location. 20 minutes from Indian Wells, 20 minutes from the airport, 20 minutes from downtown Palm Springs. We LOVED it. The private Casita was perfect as an additional bedroom. The pool, wow AMAZING. We loved that we could cook breakfast and dinner. Very relaxing. We would definitely book again. Actually talking about coming back in two years.
Rancho Mirage is the perfect place for your Desert getaway. In between busy and trendy Palm Springs and glitzy Palm Desert and La Quinta, it sits nestled against the mountains for sun in quiet surroundings. This home is perfectly situated on a quiet and wide street next to the famous Tamarisk Golf Club. Gorgeous homes line this street as well as Tamarisk Lane and Sunny Lane. Luxurious and romantic walks are right out your doorstep on flat, wide, and quiet streets. One great walk is up the hill on Frank Sinatra to the new Ritz Carlton. Try this walk on a Sunday morning and indulge yourselves for a yummy brunch with jaw dropping views. Or any other day as well. They are known for their amazing hospitality as well as there Ricotta Pancakes :). There is also a short walk, about 3/4 of a mile, to the new dog park on the corner of Frank Sinatra and Davall Street. With the amazing weather and views, you will be greatly enticed to call a local RE Broker to start looking for a home!
Take a ride on our colorful Beach Bikes around the neighborhood. It's loads of fun!
There are too many things to do on one trip, so you will have to choose carefully. The most popular are:
1) The Palm Springs Tram from the desert floor up to over 8,000 feet. It is about 30 degrees cooler at the top. A great respite from the heat during the summer and fun time in the winter. It is a fantastic day that is even better with a lunch at their restuarant or better yet, pack a picnic lunch you can enjoy after a very short walk into the forest. It's very relaxing with lots of fresh air and amazing views of course.
2) Joshua Tree National Park
This unbelievable park is a must see. It is a 1/2 a day trip or longer and take a camera. You will be amazed at the mountains, rock formations, and tree and plant life. It's all driving with plenty of places to stop, explore, and photograph.
3) Downtown Palm Springs
Lots of fun Modern Living shops, great clothing bargains, and trendy restuarants like Trio, The Tropical, Spencers, Eight4nine, Cheekys, and of course Lulu's. (you must eat at Lulu's or you haven't been to Palm Springs!). Go to the Palm Springs Art Museum, or take a famous Actor's house tour. Try one of the amazing Casinos if you feel lucky. Plenty of History here with lots of people watching going on for sure.
4) The Living Desert in Palm Desert
A Desert themed Zoo with a lot going on. Great for a family day out. Kids can feed the giraffes!
5) The McCallum Theater
Check this ahead of time for shows as it sells out quickly.
This is only a stone's throw from the house is the former Annenburg Estate where US Presidents entertain foreign heads of state. There is the modern 16,000 sq ft home that is now available to the public, surrounded by a private golf course. Get on the website for specific visiting hours. (You might get bumped by the Chinese Premier.)
Try the famous 'Bump and Grind' hike. Parts of it are steep but very doable. Only about 2 miles. Bring water but no pets allowed. Part of the hike overlooks Porcupine Creek Residence and private golf course which is the private residence a silicon valley billionaire. Do you know who?
8) Golf tournaments, Tennis Tournaments (Paribas at Indian Wells), Triathlons,
9) So much more!!
Golfing and tennis abound but so do Bicycling with extra wide bike lanes and/or sidewalks for the careful riders. Check out the Desert Bicycle Club for daily group rides.
Need to work off that dinner from last night? The brand new InShape fitness club with a 4 land 25 yard pool, and everything else is just 2 miles away. They will let you drop in for a small fee.
The Palm Desert Aquatic Center is an absolutely World Class venue with a 50 meter pool for your fitness buff, water slides and play pool for the younger crowd, a 25 yd pool as well. Plenty of shaded seating for the watchful parents out to get a tan. The adjoining Palm Desert Civic Center has abundant tennis courts, large park, fenced and 'Cool Fog' cooled outdoor dog park, and more. Hint: drive down Clancy Lane to view a street where the millionaires/billionaires live. Come in on the Bob Hope side as the Monterey side is gated.
Drive up Highway 74, past the famous Bighorn Country Club, just a short distance to the lookout point to watch the sunrise or sunset. Very Romantic.
