Michael and Joanne are both psychologists who own their own practice, the Grandis Evaluation Center, in Asheville North Carolina. Rachel teaches language at Asheville/Buncombe Early College and recently got married at none other than the Lakehouse! Tyler graduated Appalachian State and is preparing for graduate school. During the summers he manages our boat and jet ski business....so you might want to contact him to reserve your watercraft during your stay. Our family came to this area of the country for its unsurpassed beauty and opportunities to be in nature. Mike enjoys tennis backpacking, traveling and of course being at the Lake , Joanne is totally into horses and gardening, Rachel is out exploring the world, having taken recent trips to Iceland, Europe and having studied abroad in Santiago, Chile. Tyler is an avid snowboarder and was a member of the Appalachian University Snowboard team. He applies those skills to wakeboarding at the lake during the summer.

Why Mike Grandis chose Seneca
Lake Keowee is a huge lake with all kinds of inlets, parks and places to explore. Being close to the town of Seneca is a nice advantage as it provides a small-town feel, with lots of Southern hospitality, but also has all the modern conveniences including two grocery stores, a Super Wal-Mart, lots of great restaurants, a movie theater and a bowling alley. A short way further and you are in the college town of Clemson. We especially enjoy providing accommodations for the fanatic Clemson Tiger football alumni who gather every Fall at our home for Clemson homecoming weekends. There is no lack of things to do between the Lake, the towns, the many state parks, hiking trails, tennis, golf and the list goes on and on.

We rented with another family for our daughter's graduation from Clemson University. Perfect location. Not too far but far enough from all the traffic. House was amazing and fully stocked with everything you needed. Rented the boat one day and had an amazing time on the lake. My daughter became a pool shark playing pool and I enjoyed an old fashioned pinball machine. There was so much room that at times you forgot there were 8 people in the house. Played horseshoes and grilled out one night. What else can I say! We absolutely loved it. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
Perfect Lakefront Getaway!
We had a wonderful stay at the Grandis Getaway! The house was lovely-in a perfect location and with plenty of room. We never once felt crowded with our group of 13. The lake itself is just beautiful and we enjoyed using the kayaks and canoes. The WiFi worked very well. Check in was a breeze. The owners were very quick to respond to questions. All in all, a great week spent celebrating our son’s college graduation. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Lake Keowee.
Nice and clean!
Nice family house with gentle slope to lake. Owner has set up house perfectly for renters.
Calm cove with nice water depth
The house was clean and well stocked! There was lots to do inside and outside! We hiked at Lake Jocassee and the Nanahala national Forest. We love this house and all it had to offer!
March 22 weekend
Weather was not great which you can't control. Plenty of sleeping space which was good. The pinball machine didn't work (rubber came off the flipper) and the pool cues didn't have any tips so you may want to replace those.
The outside grill top cover was rotted so we couldn't get it back on after using the grill all three days. We could not find a collander strainer so low country boils and boiled shrimp are problematic for guests.
Overall we enjoyed the house and had a great birthday weekend for March.
You may want to clean your boat slip before the boating season starts as it looked like it had built up rust and algae.
Glad to hear you enjoyed the house and had a great birthday weekend! Sorry about the weather, probably will have better luck during your return visit this summer when the weather is more consistent. Thanks for the updates, the pinball machine is fixed, pool cues got new metal tips, and sorry you did not find the collander which was in one of the cabinets. We look forward to your return visit and as always feel free to contact us if you need anything as we are close by and always available to help out! Mike
A House for Everyone's Taste
This house met every expectation that our group of 8 women had - open floor plan, bedrooms & bathrooms galore, large kitchen with upscale appliances, foosball table, pool table, pinball machine and Theatre Room. The bed in the Master Bedroom was so comfortable. The location is beautiful and, although it's a little bit of a drive to Clemson, it's a beautiful trip to surrounding towns. A great find and was perfect for this group of Clemson grads.
