Why Mike Grandis chose Lake Keowee

Lake Keowee is a huge lake with all kinds of inlets, parks and places to explore. Being close to the town of Seneca is a nice advantage as it provides a small-town feel, with lots of Southern hospitality, but also has all the modern conveniences including two grocery stores, a Super Wal-Mart, lots of great restaurants, a movie theater and a bowling alley. A short way further and you are in the college town of Clemson. We especially enjoy providing accommodations for the fanatic Clemson Tiger football alumni who gather every Fall at our home for Clemson homecoming weekends. There is no lack of things to do between the Lake, the towns, the many state parks, hiking trails, tennis, golf and the list goes on and on.

What makes this house unique

We rent boat and Jet Skis which we can have waiting for you at our covered dock! For more information on boat and Jet Ski rentals go to our Boat & Jet Ski website at: lakekeoweeboatrentals.com

(Note: we also rent to others staying elsewhere on the lake)

Guestbook comments from the owner

We came for a staff training retreat. Even when the weather was bad there were tons to do. We found the kitchen perfect for large meals. The living rooms downstairs and up was great for group gatherings. The boat was large enough to fit our entire group. This home has everything needed for a relaxing trip to the lake. We would definitely come back.

Wonderful spot for a family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week at the Grandis Getaway. Lake Keowee is AMAZING!!! Beautiful, pristine water. So clear and clean! The house is perfect for large families. We had 10 adults and 5 children (ages 2,3,4,5,6). We had plenty of room for sleeping and the occasional "need to get away from it all". Plenty of bathrooms for everyone to use. We brought our boat, and having the covered dock was wonderful. Our family spent the week playing in the water, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, boating and just being together. We played horseshoes and had a campfire one evening. It was such a perk to have a washer/dryer at the home, because, as you can imagine, there was laundry abounding!! The kids took advantage of the media room to watch some movies. The "big kids" enjoyed playing pool and pinball on the hot days. The screened in porch was used endlessly by everyone, as was the gazebo. Just so many spaces to enjoy time together.

Seriously, there was no downside to this property. Thank you for the memories!

Amazing ! You will not be disappointed !!

  • 5 of 5

We had an amazing time here, the pictures don't do it justice how nice the house and rooms are. Could not find one negative about our stay here. The lake is so clear and beautiful. We rented both a boat and jet skis from the owner and had an amazing week that we will not forget. The owners are great to work with, they answer questions quickly. Would definitely recommend this to everyone as their next vacation spot.

Excellent House Excellent Stay!

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion of sorts here in June (3 brothers and parents as well as our kids) and couldn't be more pleased with the house we picked. The house is roomy and the game room downstairs as well as the theater room were a hit with the kids and adults alike. The beach is wonderful. As we paddled around the lake with the provided canoe and kayaks, we noted how few properties have a beach built in to them. Fishing rods and tackle is already in place, we made sure to leave some extra hooks, lures, etc when we left. The big bass are tough to catch but my brother got one the last day in the early evening, so it can be done from the dock. The kids caught brim and blue gills all day long. The dock makes an excellent diving platform and we really didn't have a reason to venture to far out as the house kept us all quite entertained.

The space is laid out so that if you want some quiet time, there's plenty of places to go like the screened in porch or the gazebo. There was never a shortage of bathroom space and the kitchen/dining had room for all of us. Highly recommend booking here if you are looking at Lake Keowee, this place has it all!

Thanks for a great stay!!

Everything We Hoped For

  • 5 of 5

This property is spacious and well-equipped. I would highly recommend it to a large group or family as the common areas are spacious and the bedrooms are very private so that all needs are met. The beach area and dock area were safe and we especially appreciated the concrete slab at the shoreline that made it safe for our little ones. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks and the trips to the sandbar. The kids caught some fish off the dock and the fold out chairs were plentiful as we sat on the lawn and enjoyed the breezes. The gazebo with the swing and the hammock were used as well as the fire pit, although the early evening rain shortened the time there. All in all, I would say that we will be back and perhaps for a longer period. A boat rental will also be in the mix next time.

A couple of minor shortcomings: the right side burners on the stove had to be lit with a match. An easy fix with flints. There was only one TV channel listing in the living room. One per television would have been nice. A few instructions about how to operate the TV's would also help.

Thanks for being wonderful and helpful hosts.

What an amazing property and what an amazing experience at the Grandis Lake house!!!

  • 5 of 5

We gathered as a family to remember our father who had passed away the week prior to our stay. We are not talking about a small family! I have 6 brothers and sisters. The Grandis lake house was the best therapy we could have asked for. We can't wait to rent this property again!

Perfect site for a reunion of long-time friends

  • 5 of 5

This is a well-appointed house with lots of room and a gorgeous lake view. There were 9 of us, 4 couples and a single, so the bedroom configuration allowed every couple at least a queen sized bed. The interior is decorated like a model house with attention to detail at every turn. But the thing that impressed me the most was the thought put in to the small stuff. For instance; throw blankets in the living room, hand soap and lotion in the bathrooms, condiments in the fridge, and foil/paper plates/plasticware in the cupboard. It is so nice to not have to spend money on things that you will either have to pack and take home or throw away. The weather was a little uncooperative, but when we got the chance we enjoyed both the canoe and the kayaks. And because we were there during the “NCAA Final Four” the home theater was put to good use cheering against our nemesis. I hope to return for a longer stay in the future.

We would recommend Carolina Pizza in Walhalla for casual dinner out and Sole Sushi in Seneca for a higher end meal.
