Authentic, exciting Marrakech experience; not to be missed!
This was an amazing and immersive Moroccan residence. The courtyard and fountain had gorgeous geometric tiles and a rooftop deck had an orange tree and city views. The two living rooms were beautifully decorated and the WiFi was just fine (some minor, weak spots in the house but very reliable in most areas.). The bedrooms were very comfortable and quiet. Just steps away from the front door were the Saadien Tombs and the souks. Hafida was the star of the stay with her lovely manner and beyond wonderful breakfasts. She was so kind and even returned later in the day to the Dar to help us communicate with a taxi driver for our daughter’s arrival. Our stay at Dar Almoravide was was an amazing experience!
Riad was exactly as pictured. Lovely and clean and perfectly located. A perfect stay!
The riad is beautiful and Christophe and Rabia have obviously taken great care in restoring and maintaining it. We were there in late December and nights were very chilly but the heaters in the bedrooms kept us very warm. The riad is perfectly located and the end of a quiet street but still an easy walk to sights, the market, etc. Christophe and Rabia were so helpful with answering questions as we planned our trip and were always very responsive. Hafida, the housekeeper, is a true treasure. So welcoming and warm! She created a festive holiday atmosphere for us with a Christmas tree and lights and other decorations as well as delicious bûche de noël on Christmas Eve. Her daily breakfasts were delicious and her mint tea the best we had our entire time in Morocco. The whole experience was perfect and we will not hesitate to stay in this riad again our next time in Marrakech. Thank you Christophe, Rabia, and Hafida!

Great location in the heart of the Medina!
PROS: The location of this Riad is great, walking distance to the tombs, mosque and about a 15 minute walk to the main square. We appreciated the daily walks and seeing the locals at the market everyday. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Hafiada with Moroccan pastries and tea. The space of the riad is great, 3 levels with a rooftop terrace. The roof is also retractable in the main atrium. Hafiada was very sweet and the host responded back to any inquiry within a reasonable time. Anything we needed, Hafiada came within the hour to remedy. We loved our stay here.
CONS: However, the only complaint about the riad itself would be the WiFi connection here is HORRIBLE!!! But we appreciated being disconnected for a few days. If you’re someone who needs WiFi for work or cell service, you will be in a rut here. But, there is a cafe within a 5 minute walk with really great WiFi for any emergencies. Also, due to the discription of free airport transportation, we were under the impression that this included both ways. But on the last day, 2 hours before departure, we were told this was not included and it would be 150 dirham to use a taxi recommended by Hafiada. This would have been nice to know up front because we had spent all of our local currency and felt blindsided. The first night we used the taxi Haifiada called to take us to dinner and home (5 minute drive) and he charged us 200dh RT. We found our from our guide this should not have been more than 30-40dh each way. The next day we took the same trip for a taxi we hailed on the street and it was 16dh. We felt ripped off by her after this point because she knew this. But she calls her friends as taxi drivers and upcharges the tourists. Not cool. She was also in the house a few times in the afternoon when we were not home and we never know why. Especially, on days we requested no breakfast. We found this to be odd. She is super sweet, but do your research about taxis and co-ops to purchase goods, as she will take you to places that are wayyy more expensive than others.
Beautiful Riad in a great location
We had a great stay at this Riad. Hafida the maid was very helpful and cooked us up a delicious meal when we first arrived.
The Riad is very airy and pretty with a beautiful sunny deck and several sitting areas. We gave the Riad 4 stars out of 5 because the internet is unreliable which would have been fine except that we had work to do. All in all it was a good find.
Dear Andrea ,

Lovely Riad in a great situation, looked after by the wonderful Hafida.
We had a great 4 days staying in this beautifully renovated Riad. Very good situation for walking to the main square and experiencing local life. Hafida made us so welcome and cooked us delicious meals in the evening when requested. Can completely recommend this Riad for an unforgettable holiday in Marrakesh.
Thank you very much for this comment, we appreciate.

Perfect Riad for our Family!
Our family absolutely loved staying here. The house was a wonderful retreat from the hustle of the medina, and our experience was truly made complete because of lovely Hafida and her daughter. We so enjoyed getting to know them a little bit during our short stay, and it was so fun to be able to learn more about the city through them. Though there was a language barrier as none of us spoke French or Arabic, Hafida was very patient with us! We especially enjoyed all of the food she was so kind to prepare for us! The only cons would be spotty wifi and there is no A/C in the downstairs bedroom - but the house cooled off nicely at night and we were pleasantly surprised by the temperatures. These complaints were very minor in comparison with all the amazing aspects of this riad - we loved the location, the peacefulness, and the atmosphere so much! Definitely will be staying here again when we (hopefully!) make it back to Marrakech!
Thank you very much for your review, we are pleased you enjoyed your journey in our Riad. Your comments help us to improv our services.
The downstairs room, is a fresh one, it doesn't need a A/C, he has a ventilation chimney and was enough. We will review this, we will also check again for the wifi.
We will be happy to host you again if you have an opportunity to come back to Marrakech.
