Sandwiched between perfect sunrise and sunset, your days at our Crescent Castle have a lot to live up to. How will you fill the daylight hours? Try endless breakfasts with your family or lazy afternoons in your private pool. Life at this gorgeous ocean-front home won’t be that hard, after all.
This is a big 6 bedroom, 4,900 sqft house that was completely renovated and refurnished in 2014. Easily Sleeping 12, late-arriving guests might fear they’ll be stuck in a dingy cupboard. Not so at Sunrise Castle - where views are liberally dispensed. Parking - not a problem with room for 12. Wireless internet - of course. And a grand ballroom on the 3rd floor ideal for birthday parties, anniversaries, etc with a small kitchen. There are also 2 queen sleeper sofas on the 3rd floor.
The ground floor main level with a beautiful entry foyer, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathroom including one with a queen bed and en-suite bathroom, A 2nd level with open & spacious living & dining room, kitchen, a master bedroom & en-suite bathroom and 3 additional bedrooms.
Accessible by exterior stairs, the third floor is where dream oceanfront living is yours around the clock. Variety in outdoor dining and lounging areas puts you east for the morning sunrise and west for the evening sunset. There is both a full and a half bathroom on this floor. Yet another full kitchen and fantastic living room ensure you have it all - why can’t real life be this easy?
As a bonus, on the 3rd level a massive wrap-around deck allows you to follow the sun all day - changing the contents of your glass from morning orange juice and fresh-brewed coffee from the 3rd floor kitchen, to icy afternoon lemonade to the evening’s perfect party sangria.
On the second floor, a sub-set of your group (perhaps an individual family or age range) has a great level to call their own. They can spread out and enjoy a vacation on their terms: a fully-equipped kitchen, large living room and living room await. White-washed walls and wooden beams are idyllic. The master includes a king sized bed. Two other bedroom choices include a king-sized bed or two twin beds sharing a full bathroom.
Furniture in all rooms is detailed and luxurious. Accessories and decorative pieces add interest - not clutter. The colours are warm and honeyed - great contrast for the sand and sea outside. Wood-panelled walls and shutters speak to the home’s ‘beach hut’ inspiration.
A private walkway to the beach enables an A-Z list of familial playtime, solo relaxation or romantic escape. Yet, the chance to stumble out of bed, straight to your pool might make the beach seem - dare we say - redundant? Fenced for children’s safety, with spacious poolside decking and lots of palm trees - this is the good life.
Intra-coastal views from the second and third level to capture the sunsets. The home is surrounded by decks. Gorgeous views from the third level of the ocean. This magical home features a private walk way to one of America’s most beautiful beaches with gorgeous, wide, powdery white sand great for building sand castles and walking with bare feet. Best of all, there are no nearby high rise condos to spoil the view! In fact, we manage the next door home - Amazing Grace. Rent them both!
Located in Crescrent Beach just a few miles from historic downtown St. Augustine, Florida!
Hi! My name is Steve Milo and I started Vacation Rental Pros in 2006. Our family stays in vacation rental homes whenever we travel, both domestically and abroad! I own several vacation homes and listen carefully to all our guests' feedback. Our greatest compliment is when folks refer Vacation Rental Pros to their friends and relatives. We now manage over 1,800 properties in Florida, Tennessee and South Carolina. We have homes in Ft. Myers Beach, Orlando, St. Augustine Beach, Daytona Beach, Palm Coast, Ponte Vedra Beach, Hilton Head and Gatlinburg. We booked over 15,000 rentals and received over 5,000 guest reviews in 2016. Please call if you need help booking your dream vacation!
How wonderful to stay oceanfront and enjoy the fabulous beach views 24/7! Vilano Beach is beautiful and the waves bring lovely shells with each tidal change. Our gang enjoyed surfing right outside the condo door. Super convenient location with downtown St. Augustine only a few miles away.
We stayed here in July with two other families. The location was nice, the beach uncrowded and plenty of room for all of us. This house left much to be desired. On our arrival, there was a giant pile of garbage sitting against the house in the driveway. Apparently the previous renters didn't take out the garbage. We immediately called on this as it was rotting and smelled. Despite numerous messages left with the property management people, we didn't talk to anyone for two days. We had to put up with the rotten, smelly garbage for two days - that included the raccoons that came by nightly for feast of garbage. The decks and boardwalk were in rough shape. There were nails sticking up everywhere to catch your feet and boards missing on the walk out to the beach. We mentioned this to the property management people. They said they'd be out to fix it the next day, but nobody ever showed up. When we tried to do laundry, neither of the two dryers worked. We call on these and they did send a repair person. We were out of towels prior to the repairs being done. They said they bring some extras for us to use while waiting for the dryer to be repaired - guess what, the towels never showed up. Among other things, there was no outside shower to clean beach sand off before going in the house. There is a spigot at the outside deck, but it was only high enough to wash feet The landscaping around the place needs a lot of work to make it presentable. We couldn't get the elevator to work. We had the same trouble with getting the upstairs TV to work each night. The dishwasher buttons were stuck on one setting. We talked to management a couple times regarding the issues with this house. Never once did they apologize for our trouble. In the end our vacation was nice, but this house and management were a giant disappointment. VacationRentalPros will likely never get my business again - they certainly didn't earn it.
Old beach house charm with all the conveniences. The teenagers loved it as much as the adults. Best beach in Florida for runners, cyclists.
This was an ok property. I'll start with the good. There was plenty of space for all 4 families and its in a good location that's only 5 miles from Publix. The pool was nice and it was great to go to after the beach to cool down and relax. Now for the bad. I would warn anyone with any sort of physical challenges with walking to not book this place as there was WAY too many stairs. To get to the 3rd floor you had to go outside and walk up another flight of stairs. The boardwalk to the beach also needs to be repaired as there were boards missing and broken boards on the way to the beach. I would also note that you could hear every footstep and noise in the house so if you like to sleep in and there are others in your party who are early risers, good luck. I would have liked to have had instructions on how to work the TV on the 3rd floor because there is just a closet with a receiver, Comcast cable box and a few other gizmos that took us a good hour to figure out how to get working. Once you got the TV and cable working, you have to stand in front of the closet to change the channel. It was very irritating. On the 3rd day of our stay there was a very bad lightning storm and it fried the TV on the 3rd floor (so no TV at all) and knocked out all of the cable in all of the rooms so we were without internet for a couple of days and there was no cable at all for the rest of our stay. I would recommend that the owner put some surge protectors in throughout the house. I probably would not consider booking this place for our vacation next year. If you're a large group with no kids, this place might work for you. But, we had kids in our party ranging from 1 year old - 12 years and it was a lot of work staying at this place. I would probably not consider this place for next year.
A very nice stay indeed! The views were great both from the ocean side of the balcony to the city from the front. Tastefully furnished. Comfy beds. Organized kitchen. The service from vacation pro's was excellent and they went above and beyond for our last minute decision. We will definitely be staying again.
