Our stay on Hancock Point was AMAZING the house more than big enough for all 13 of us ages ranging from 3 year old to an 80Mother Grandmother. We would play tourist during the day and grill and play games baseball, badminton, Frisbee and croquet at night in the back yard. The games are already there for both indoors and outdoors and there is a lot of yard. Sitting on the deck at night was so enjoyable. The kids loved walking down to Frenchman's Bay to search for shells and to see the boats. The inside of the house was amazing the 2 stoves were great and the table was big enough for us to sit as a family and eat together.... It is close to so many things worth seeing. We plan on going back and would love to stay at this house again I would highly recommend this Victorian house. The owners are great and they keep in touch to make sure that your stay is going great.
Part of my extended family stayed in this lovely home for a family reunion. The kitchen provided places for several to work at the same time, and just about anything we needed was handy. The large dinning room and living areas accommodated all 36 of us for the meals we had together. The porches were inviting and scenery perfect. All the grandchildren loved exploring the house and grounds and had no problems staying busy with their adventures. I would love to return and have more time to simply sit on the front porch!
Our family stayed in this beautiful home for a family reunion. It was lovely. Everything was well-organized and well- stocked. Plenty of sheets, towels, blankets, plates, glassware, tables, chairs, etc. for a large group. We loved the nineteenth century charm of the house. The children enjoyed playing hide and seek inside and loved playing in the yard outside. Our granddaughters were thrilled with their pretty little bedroom off of their parent's room. The whole house was decorated nicely. The bathrooms were adequate for a houseful of people. On a chilly night we had a fire in the stove. Our last night we had a lobster dinner. The porches are welcoming and the perfect backdrop for a group picture. The flower boxes and beds are beautiful and well taken care of. There is plenty of room inside and out for everyone. Hancock Point is a great location for taking a walk and for day trips to Acadia. The owner was very helpful and easy to work with. This house fit us perfectly and was just right for memory-making.
Our family and friends were celebrating a wedding on Hancock Point. We actually hosted the Rehearsal Dinner at the Crowe Home!
We were extremely satisfied with amenities, spaciousness and how the owner responded immediately to contact. Without a second thought, we would repeat a stay in this wonderful home!! Available: Laundry, two stoves, two fridges, linens. Deer, skunk, racoon - we saw these! Well-maintained grounds and home!!! GREAT RATES! We ALL (16 of us) decided when we win the lottery, we will make an offer on this fabulous home and property!
We had a wonderful time on Hancock Point! The house is huge and the property is lovely. the owners answered all my questions (even the silly ones) promptly. The walk down to the water is very short and the point is very quite it was a great place for all the little ones that were in our group. The back deck and yard of the house were the perfect spot to hang and play games and run around. We drove out to Acadia and Bar Harbor 3 days the drive is beautiful and really not that bad. I would visit this part of Maine again and I would recommend this house if you have a large group looking to vacation together!
This was the perfect place for our large family. It was clean and spacious. We appreciated the large kitchen with 2 refrigerators and 2 stoves and a table around which we could all fit! I am a gardener, and I loved the landscaping and flowers. We liked the quietness of Hancock Point -- not touristy like many parts of coastal Maine. The beach was very close and our children and grandchildren actually went swimming in the chilly waters of Maine! We liked the library very much -- we are readers. We have a family vacation every 2 years and have been doing this for many years. This home was by far the nicest one we have found. I also appreciated very much the kindness and availability (by phone) of the owners and the availability of the caretaker. It was a very special week for our entire family and we are grateful.
