Tree Top Cabin lies above Highway 41 in the heart of the small town of Fish Camp, within easy reach of the world-renowned Yosemite Valley to the north and 20 minutes from Oakhurst and Bass Lake to the south. Lewis Creek, Wawona, and Chilnualna Falls are all just a few miles away. If you prefer hiking to driving, you can walk from the driveway straight onto trails to Big Creek, the Mariposa Grove of Big Trees, Buffin Meadow, and Star Lakes. If you're here for a conference at Tenaya Lodge, it's only a very short walk or drive along 41, past the local pond and the Fish Camp Market. And if you're only here for some well-earned rest, just take a seat on one of the decks, grab a coffee or a beer, and breathe in the fresh mountain air. Inside the cabin, you will find a well-equipped kitchen, perfect for preparing family dinners, and a cozy living room with a wood-burning fireplace. The TV has Netflix access and a standard DVD player, and free WIFI is available throughout the house. Every room features carefully chosen Yosemite artwork on the walls. The dining room has a large table that you can extend to seat 10, a cupboard full of games and puzzles, several books on Yosemite, and a Crosley record player with a stack of albums for your use.

Great house in a beautiful location
This is a great house in a beautiful location. We were not able to stay after just one night because of a big snow storm causing widespread power outages and the closing of Yosemite National Park. The overnight storm caused us to be almost completely snowed in, but Cheryl, the property manager, moved heaven and earth to get us dug out and able to go to a safer location. She was wonderful, even walking a long way through several feet of snow to bring us hot coffee and pastries from a nearby lodge. I am looking forward to returning to this house when our group of travelers can spend more time enjoying the house, Yosemite and surrounding area. I heartily recommend Tree Top Cabin. And, I can’t say enough about Cheryl who handled our unusual situation with compassion, ingenuity, and speed.
Great location for an extended family holiday. Comfortable, and well-designed as a rental. The kitchen is extremely well-equipped. We were super-fortunate, and it snowed during our visit. There are a number of excellent sledding hills within walking distance of the property for our kids. The property manager was responsive, helpful, and very kind. We hope to stay here again in future years during our return trips to Fish Camp.
Rustic feeling but comfortable and well equipped
We made last minute reservations but had a great experience. Cheryl was super helpful and went out of her way to make sure that we get everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.
Perfect home away from home.
Beautiful clean and well, organized, only a few minutes away from the Yosemite entrance.
We will come back
Spacious, comfortable house with a well-equipped kitchen; great property manager
I stayed in Tree Top Cabin for 5 days in Oct 2017 along with my (adult) brother and sister -- sort of a family reunion that we do annually. We cooked-in every night and lazed around a bit in the mornings, so we got to know the property pretty well. We all agreed that we’d had a wonderful stay and would happily come back again.
Two of the three bedrooms were spacious (one is in fact a master suite) and the third was a little small, but big enough that it’s occupant didn’t feel at all cramped. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of closet space with hangers.
The living room, with two sofas and three overstuffed chairs, was attractively furnished. The TV monitor was large and the TV worked well the one night we used it. We built fires every night but one; the fireplace worked great, and there was plenty of dry wood available.
The kitchen had plenty of counter space plus a central island. All three of us are experienced cooks and we found plenty of pots, pans and other gear we needed for the meals we prepared. We were impressed to discover that some of the knives were even relatively sharp, something we’ve never actually seen in the houses we’ve rented over the years.
We had occasion to email and talk with the property manager several times during our week there, getting some questions answered and a couple small problems resolved. She was very responsive and friendly, even coming over to the house one morning to make sure everything was going well.
We only see two negatives worth calling out. The first is that there are quite a few stairs leading from the garage to the living area. We got a bit winded lugging all our gear up the first day, but they weren’t really a problem after that, The second is that, although there are in fact three bathrooms as the listing states, one of them is at the bottom of those stairs, near the garage and a long way from the bedrooms. Practically speaking, this meant two of us had to share a bathroom: not something we expected, but we adapted.
Overall, this was a very good rental and the property manager did an excellent job. As I said above, we wouldn’t hesitate to rent it again.
Great location, extremely well equipped, spotlessly clean and very comfortable.
We loved Tree Top Cabin and didn’t want to leave. The location is peaceful and perfect for exploring Yosemite. We were concerned about the wildfires and access to the valley but Cheryl gave us detailed information and kept us up to date on local conditions (we visited from the UK). We drove to the El Portal entrance and were glad of the comforts of the cabin at the end of the long days. We visited the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias and Wawona on very quiet days....perfect for us.
The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed and more. We loved the decor and Yosemite mementos. We would highly recommend this cabin and would love to visit again some day.
