Perfection in every category
We had the most wonderful weekend in this beautiful Bucks County stone house. It is in a gorgeous, peaceful setting but is close to everything. It was immaculately clean and the owners have managed to make it tremendously comfortable and perfectly climate-controlled without losing the historic feel of the place. Jill is such a sweet and thoughtful host and she left us the most delicious blueberry muffins. We have stayed in many, many rentals in the US and Europe and this was definitely one of our favorite experiences. It really was a privilege to spend time in the Raymond Emerson House and we certainly hope to return someday.
The property is beautiful! We were greeted by Jill when we arrived. There was Prosecco for us along with a homemade pound cake. They also left us coffee and milk. The house was tastefully decorated, immaculate and comfortable. We loved the Colonial feel, it takes you back in time. The beds were comfortable, the towels super soft. The circular stairs were a bit narrow but we handled them fine. The house is Conveniently located, its a short drive to Lambertville, New Hope and Peddlers Village. We had a wonderful stay I highly recommend!
Wonderful Sister's Weekend
The property is beautiful, the accommodations were first rate. The attention to detail, amenities, cleanliness of the house, all was appreciated. Jill is a wonderful host, home made snacks, available if needed. The area is delightful, we look forward to our next stay. THANK YOU
It's not everyday you have the opportunity to "step back in time", but this house allows you to do that, albeit with modern conveniences and a wonderful, warm, hostess who apparently excels in the baking of blueberry muffins.
Carversville, I suppose, exists, but I'm not sure that I ever found it. What we did find was a tranquil, forested area with a one lane blacktop road, and a 1700 era restaurant and general store approximatey one mile away with gourmet dinners and wonderful breakfasts.
Carversville is about 35 minutes from Trenton NJ, an hour and a half to Philadelphia, and just down the road from Doylestown and New Hope Pennsylvania. There's plenty to do if you want, and solitude if you don't want.
Jill Patterson, the owner of the property is unobtrusive, but available if you need her. She told us that her husband rebuilt the property on his own, and it shows the care that he put into every detail. They live just behind the rent property if you need them.

Your home was delightful. We enjoyed being able to do a short walk down to the river right from your front door. Amenities were perfect.
