Why Zandra chose Tobin Hill
We love the location of this Home! When we walked in we couldn't stop thinking about how much charm it had and the location cant be beaten. The 100 year old floors and fireplace, we found the original deed from nearly 100 years ago. We love the neighbors and the neighborhood.
What makes this House unique
Historical home in the historical district.
Decent but not as expected
Overall, staying at this property was a decent experience. Some of the updates were very nice, like the kitchen and its appliances and the bathroom layouts. However, the pictures do not accurately represent the condition of the property, particularly the outside. The neighborhood was relatively quiet and conveniently located to downtown attractions. Many of the houses on the street are well-maintained or being renovated; however, the next door neighbor’s house is not well kept or mowed. Items in the house were clean, like the sink and counters, showers, etc.; however, it has been quite awhile since someone paid attention to the details, like dusting the woodwork, etc. The air conditioning struggled to keep up with the heat, and there were several stray cats that approached us and the house. The one morning while we were leaving a dead rat had appeared by the front porch. While we were out, someone came and mowed the property, which was a plus, but the person just shoved the dead rat over by the front tree. The checkin process and communication with the property owner were decent but unnecessarily complicated - there were emails, messages in the app, instructions to text, and links to a separate website. The property owner was fairly responsive and helpful - the times we received no response may have simply been due to using the wrong method of communication since there were four different tools being utilized. A tip, if you stay during the week, put the trash out Wednesday night. The instructions said “if you stay Thursday” to please put the trash out, but by the time we went to put the trash out Thursday we had already missed the pickup because they came early Thursday morning.
Beautiful home. Very convenient for all activities. Will definitely stay again.
Thank you Judy! We hope to have you stay there or at one of our other 4 properties!
Beautiful, clean, great location
Large kitchen with essentials, lovely refinishing, just what we needed.
The property was attractive, comfortable, and well stocked. The owner was responsive to our questions and needs. It was a great location for a group of four to enjoy San Antonio.
Nice house with plenty of room and a lot of character. The location was perfect to visit San Antonio- very close to everything. Check in and check out was very easy.
Great place to stay and close to everything but does not feel like you are in the middle of the city
