We love Turkey and after last years visit we loved Dalyan. Was gutted when we couldn't get the same villa again but went with a recommendation from Paul Hobbs for Villa Seda after we enquiries about one if the sister properties (semi detached) across the road and we were delighted so much do we booked a return to the same villa 3days into this years visit for 14days next year. It's a brand new villa still a few minor things to be completed but that doesn't detract from the quality finish and beauty. All modern appliances low energy LED lights too so the icebergs will last a wee bit longer. Hot water was plentiful which went down very well with our party of 7 (6 long haired ladies included). Pool got the sun from mid morning through to sunset with the lingers getting the dun from sunrise. Gardens were loveky too. Master bedroom infact all rooms were excellent. If (when?) we buy a villa in Dalyan this would tick all the boxes. Comfortable 5min walk to a shop or 5-10 minutes to the start if the resteraunts going in to Dalyan towards the harbour. Was 10min slow walk to the market in the centre of town. Dalyan itself did not disappoint either. Market prices (or starting prices!) have went up a fair but but there some good friendly bartering to be had for a bargain. Fresh local fruit n veg is plentiful from shops of the Main Street and prices are really good through the week and on market day for a more varied choice. Meals always if high quality as was service. Great to be welcomed in to resteraunt a when you have four kids in tow. What was one of the best aspects was being remembered and welcomed from last years visit. The people make Dalyan with the scenery a close second.
Dalyan: Dalyan is a special & unique town which is overlooked by ancient Lycian Rock Tombs which are the last resting places of the Kings of Kaunos. The Dalyan canal goes through the village on its way from Koycegiz Lake to the beach so the riverside is a great place to take a boat trip to one of the ancient sites in the area. Dalyan offers something for everyone whilst maintaining a wonderful friendly atmosphere.
