Very nice house and area. We rented the boat and that was wonderful to have all ready for us when we got there. You do have to be careful of rocky areas on the lake but they are well marked. We caught all of our fish though, from the dock which included bass, catfish and walleye. We didn't have a drop of rain the whole week! We were able to do some hiking nearby, went to Lake George for dinner, went letterboxing close by, enjoyed the fire pit and the enclosed front porch! We also took a long boat ride all the way to the bridge. Our dog enjoyed the whole vacation, including the boat! The owners were very gracious when the boat seat broke the first day we were there and drove all the way there to replace it for us! (Thanks again!). Would highly recommend renting the house and the boat!
We had the good fortune to rent the lake house the last week of July this year. Great weather, Only rained a few hours one day. The lake water is nice and clear and warm 79 degrees most of the week. The cottage was clean and nicely decorated. It was cozy and comfortable for our family of five with three kids, 13, 17 and 20. Hiked Hadley mountain and climbed the fire tower. Found the "secret" swimming hole at Shanty Brook (tough hike) and caught a lot of smallmouth bass. Owners responded quickly to all inquiries before and during our stay. Would highly recommend this cottage. Thanks Tim and Rebecca.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the lake house. We also rented the pontoon boat and enjoyed boat rides and fishing. We were fortunate to be able to have family members come throughout the week and enjoy this with us, a good time by all. The house was perfect and the owners are amazing to work with! Not only did they provide the wood for the campfires, they also provided propane for the gas grill and tons of outdoor seating, then there was the use of the house phone (no cell service) and wifi; they also had tv, but we never turned it on. We used the Luzerne Market for odds and ends (just 15 minutes away) and on Friday went to Lake George (just 35 minutes away). Thank you Tim and Rebecca for a wonderful place to enjoy a week away from it all!
We had a great time. Lake house was cozy, clean, comfortable and relaxing. It had everything you would need for a vacation
Spot. The pontoon boat was excellent for our crew and a lot different than our usual fishing boat. The owners were right about fishing off their dock. We caught and released over 40 bass. We will be coming back . Great Sacandaga beautiful and fun. 30 minutes from Lake George and other attractions. Highly recommend this home accept for the week we want it.
Our family of 6 had a wonderful stay at the cozy cottage and especially enjoyed using the pontoon boat. We spent a lot of time on the boat fishing, but most of our fish were caught right from the dock including a 16 inch walleye. Our children enjoyed the use of the kayaks. The house was so cozy. We loved all the Adirondack décor! Thanks so much for sharing your cottage! The Davis family
I just wanted to say thank you for allowing my family to enjoy your wonderful home on the lake. I have to say you thought of EVERYTHING !! The kids didnt want to leave. The house was IMMACULATE and very comfortable beds. Your pontoon boat was a delight to go on the Sagandaga with. Thanks for giving our kids( and my husband and I ) some wonderful summer 2012 memories to cherish forever !!!
