We were drawn to this property because of its amazing location. It's expansive views of the ocean are breathtaking from sunrise to sunset! Besides enjoying the beach, we love playing golf - especially at Pheasant Glen! The house and area provide a relaxing retreat from the city for both children and adults.
The uniques benefits of this home are its amazing views. You feel like you are part of the water!
Rented this home for 4 nights for a Birthday celebration. It has everything you need and can think of. Comfortable beds and clean pillows. We loved it and wanted to stay! Eagles,Seals, Herons and Otters came to check on us.
You will love it here!
My husband & I absolutely loved returning here for a second time last summer with our daughters, 8 & 10. We really enjoyed it when they were 3 & 5 also! The sandy beach directly adjacent to the house was a great place to play & explore, and when the tide is low, the rocky beach goes on endlessly for exploring. The point was lovely at all times of the day and we were even able to walk to French Creek marina at low tide (crossing very shallow pools & climbing a few rocks!) to get our fresh seafood at the fish market. We saw many seals, herons, bald eagles, and enjoyed watching fishing boats and paddle boarders every day. Most evenings were calm with the most amazing sunsets while enjoying dinner on the deck. Even cruise ships seen from a distance were a sight as they cruised up the channel towards the setting sun. The flowers & grasses growing around the deck/beach are a photographers dream. We especially enjoyed the abundant blackberries in the bush outside the kitchen to add to our dinner salads & for dessert (watch for thorns though :).
The house is very comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay and the recent renovations & upgrades only make it better! The house is situated perfectly for outings to Qualicum Beach, Parksville, Rathtrevor Beach, Qualicum Cheese and of course, Coombs and the Goats on the Roof market. One of our fave outings was the fresh water swimming holes at Top Bridge (near Parksville). We made most of our own meals but had the best fish & chips at The Fish House in Qualicum (an old tudor-style house with beautiful English garden).
Shelley was great to deal with; very prompt with replies. I would definitely recommend this lovely house for a long or short stay; it really felt like our own beach home away from home!
My wife and I just spent a wonderful month on the shores of the Salish Sea, across from Lasqueti Island in this immaculate well appointed house near Qualicum Beach. From early morning to last light there was always lots of action with the seals, sea lions, eagles, herons and seagulls . Whenever the wind picked up the kite and wind surfers showed up and provided entertainment for hours on end.
The house was immaculate, 'well staged', very clean and completely comfortable. The kitchen, which also has a great ocean view, was well stocked with cooking utensils, dishes and even condiments to assist with preparation of meals.
This ocean side beach house was by far one of our favourite holidays. It was a perfect place for our family of 5 (my husband and I & 3 daughters aged 9 yr old twins and 14). So many adventures surrounding Parksville...Horne Lake Caves, Cathedral Grove, Qualicum Beach, all of which information was provided by the owners. Very clean, quite and beautiful views! Owners were extremely detailed and accommodating with excellent communication! Thanks Shelley! We would love to stay here again next time we are on the Island.

House was exactly as described. There were 2 children (3 years and 6 months )with 4 adults in our party. The 3 year old loved being able to go on the beach in the front and looking for seashells. We were able to walk the baby on the quiet street behind and saw the bunnies and deer.We really enjoyed buying our seafood at the Fish market in French Creek which was very convenient. The bakery and grocery store were also very close. We found the location great for day trips and spent time at Rathtrevor,Parksville and Qualicom beaches all minutes away. The owner had provided firewood and there was a place to have a campfire where we roasted marshmallows.
A Pack and play would have been convenient as we travelled by air.
We had a lovely long weekend at the Beach House. It was just as described and was perfect for our family of four. The location was fantastic. Even with the cool November weather we were able to spend a lot of time on the beach, and when it got a bit too chilly we could watch the sea from inside.
I would happily stay here again and would recommend it to others.
