Farmers porch on front of house to enjoy cool morning or evening breeze!! Outside enclosed shower for after beach cool down. Large screened-in porch with paddle fan overlooking back yard. Cable TV (3 sets, including new 48 LCD in living room plus master bedroom and out on screened porch), DVD/VCR's, Internet/wireless access! Free voice calls w/in USA. Lots of extras!!!
We are in very quiet, relaxing neighborhood with woods surrounding back yard so enjoy your morning coffee on back screened deck and let nature slowly wake you up! We're walking distance to beaches and very short drive or bike ride to Dennis Village or Scargo Lake. Close to bike trails, golf, shopping, restaurants and cinemas...ideal location for fun, relaxing vacation!
Very comfortable, clean, and well-stocked home. We loved the screened in porch and the property. Walkable to our favorite beach (even w/ 2 small kids!) Owners did well in explaining details. We hope to go back again.
We owned a cottage on a NH lake for over twenty years, where packing essentially involved a toothbrush. After selling a few years ago, we set out to explore Cape Cod. Renting (on line) is always a little risky- we never know exactly what we will find. But we have found a piece of paradise in this house, and near Dennis beaches!
The house has everything it claims and more. It is beautifully set up, fully stocked with necessities, and lovely to spend time in, The large screened in porch, especially, is a delightful place to eat, read, have early AM coffee, and listen to the birds. The quiet street gives a feeling of being far away from the real world. And yet, the most beautiful beaches on the Cape are a short walk away. In addition to Bayview and Mayflower, Dennis has other beaches with charm: Howe, a family beach with waves, Corporation, with its chipwiches and café, and Chapin, with its endless flats at low tide.
All in all, we just returned from a lovely week in Dennis, and can’t wait to go back next summer. Thank you Marilyn.
This vacation home was perfect for us! It was immaculate, comfortable, close to the beach, and peaceful. We really appreciated the fact that we could walk to the beach and a few local restaurants. Driving to miniature golf, movie, and trampolines only took a few minutes and the many backroads saved us time vs taking the popular main roads. Our other favorite is the nice, quiet dead end street - didn't have to worry about noise or cars. It was also nice to read and relax on either the front porch or screened back porch. On the nights we didn't go out - we visited Dennis Public Market - only about 2 miles away - and bought great quality meats and produce and cooked out on the grill. All in all, a PERFECT vacation spot! I can't wait until my vacation there this year!
Our home is at the end of a sandy road with only 4 houses so it is very quiet and relaxing! We have a large front and back yard which abuts woods so very safe for kids! There is no traffic! Sit on the enclosed back deck with a drink and watch the kids play or stay on the spacious front porch and have a snack or play cards. Short 10 minute Walk to Mayflower, Chapin, Bayview beaches. Walking distance to local restaurants such as the ever popular Chapin's or Gina's for a fantastic meal! 1 mile to Route 6A and Dennis Village. Cape Cod Playhouse, dining, ice cream (the Smuggler!!) shopping, antique shops & rail trail at Old Bass River Road are all located at the village.
Other Activities: We have a very quiet neighborhood but within 1/2 of beach or 1 mile to Dennis Village/ Rail Trail. Very safe for runners/bikers or early morning beach walkers!
