Portland Apartment Rental Photos and Description

House, 1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-4)

Beautiful 1908 Craftsman home (Garden view unit) in the heart of one of the most sought after neighborhoods in Portland! You will never stay in a nicer garden view unit! This is urban living at it's finest. Beautiful high historic end homes, gorgeous tree lined boulevards, wonderful people, and extremely close to many wonderful restaurants and shopping. This is one of the best neighborhoods in Portland without a doubt. The wonderful and energetic neighborhoods of Alameda, Beaumont-Wilshire, Concordia, Laurelhurst and Grant Park all surround Historic Irvington, but she is the Grand Dame of them all!

A car is not absolutely necessary, walk to the MAX (transportation system - 10 minutes) and the bus line is around the corner. You are a 5-10 minute walk from literally 20 restaurants! 5 minutes walking to Lloyd Center and 8 minute walk to the Rose Quarter. Downtown is a 7 minute drive or 9 minutes on the MAX.

Your basement unit is almost 600 square feet and has been completely restored with the original hardware. The sofa folds down to sleep a total of 4. Why stay in a hotel when you can live like a local?

The vast majority of the vacation rentals in Portland operate illegally, but this house has the rare and therefore coveted 'Conditional Use' permit that the city requires in order to run a vacation rental for short term stays.

Our caretakers live onsite, tucked away in an apartment on the main level. Feel free to ask them for help at anytime.

This apartment is extremely well furnished, with everything you need to make your stay wonderful, giving you maximum comfort. Large windows ensure the unit is well lit, and a brand new hydroponic heating system ensures warmth on cold nights. Stainless steel appliances, travertine countertops, wireless internet, a 30' flat screen TV, DVD player and a Bose Stereo give you the luxuries that you have in your own home! Your own illuminated, private entrance on the side of the house guarantees you complete privacy.

A raised herb and vegetable garden on the south side of the house is available to you.

You will get our personal recommendations for shopping, dining and activities and complimentary coffee and tea.

This is our part time home, and we absolutely love it. We guarantee you will feel the same. Come and be part of our family as you sample all that Irvington Neighborhood and Portland have to offer!

About The Owner

My name is Mark Reinoso, and my wife's name is Abigail Stewart. I have a daughter, Lauren, from my first marriage, who is 15. Abby and I have a 6 year old son, Rocco and a 2.5 year old daughter Zara

We spend a lot of time in Portland, and we certainly want to welcome you to our home!

The Owner purchased this apartment in 2005

Why The Owner chose Portland

I have always loved the Pacific Northwest, though my daughter, family and my business are in Phoenix. Most of my maternal family is from this area, and many relatives still live near here.

My mother was born in Vancouver, WA and used to come down to the Lloyd Center to shop with her mother when she was very young. She has fond memories of this place. When she first saw this house and this neighborhood, she literally cried.

I have always had a great time here. I love the neighborhood. I love my neighbors and the general vibe that Portland has. I love the people, and even the weather(most of the time) I love the fact that you can go hiking or biking in the AM, and be back in time for lunch at a fabulous restaurant. I love that nothing looks the same, that everything is unique.

What makes this apartment unique

I guess I could go on and on, but I really like the urban lifestyle. You can walk anywhere from the Irvington Neighborhood. The gardens and yards are just unbelievable. There are tons of great restaurants and coffee shops everywhere you turn. Portland is such a great destination in every way, and I think Irvington neighborhood is the crown jewel of it all.

I have put tons of money and my heart and soul into this property, and I think and hope it shows. I hope you enjoy this house as much as I do.

Lovely home, excellent location!

  • 5 of 5

What a pleasant place to stay! Pretty and peaceful, convenient to a bus line that takes you into downtown Portland or up to the Alberta arts district. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay!

Very comfortable, well equipped, great location.

  • 5 of 5

This is a very comfortable place for a couple, especially if you like looking at beautiful houses. Historic Irvington is extraordinary, and this place is right in the middle, with a bus stop on the corner, a great coffee place nearby, and good supermarkets including a Wholefoods nearby. Having Andrea on site was a bonus, and she was very welcoming and available, even though we didn't need any help because everything was in good order. Highly recommended.

Clean, quiet, ample parking

  • 4 of 5

We were very pleased with the rental property. Everything was as described. It is located in a nice, safe neighborhood with plenty of parking. Many restaurants and shops are very close, and downtown is a very short 5-10 minute drive. Our only complaint is that the bed and pillows are a bit hard and not the most comfortable, but far from the worst we've had. We'd stay again.

Wonderful place

  • 5 of 5

My daughter, 2 year old granddaughter and I just spent 4 nights at the Irvington House. This place was phenomal! The house is in a wonderful historic neighborhood and it is beautiful. We stayed in the basement apartment. There was plenty of room for us, and it had a great kitchen area. There was no need to worry about the basement being too dark. The windows brought in lots of light. There was a bottle of really good wine waiting for us, as well as a bag of coffee beans. Very nice touch! This place is very close to many restaurants, shops, public transit and grocery stores. It was very convenient. Andrea, the caretaker, was extremely welcoming and had great advice for neighborhood dining. It really couldn't have been a more lovely accomadation. I would highly recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in the Portland area. I would love to visit again soon!

Highly Recomend - Five Stars for sure

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful stay for us. A lovely garden apartment, great location in a beautiful neighborhood. The patio backyard is beautiful and spacious. We came in for our daughters wedding and stayed for the week. I am so glad we were there for the extra days. We enjoyed walks to nearby restaurants and shops on the nearby Broadway which made the property that much more convenient. Public transportation was convenient, a short distance away to go to explore Riverside. Our onsite hosts were friendly, welcoming, and very accommodating. Great people! Great choice! We really felt at home. We are looking forward to staying there again. Thanks!

Very clean basement apartment in great neighborhood

  • 4 of 5

I loved seeing all of the beautiful houses in the neighborhood and walking to breakfast every morning at Milo's Cafe.

The name Garden View is a bit euphemistic as it is in fact a basement apartment, albeit a very clean and newly appointed one. It was much appreciated that a bottle of Oregon Pinot Noir was left for us. One can definitely hear the footsteps from people upstairs, but the bed was lovely. It was the first time we have had a VRBO that asked us to take out the trash and strip the beds. That was a surprise since one does pay a cleaning fee. Maybe that is becoming standard, not sure.

We met the caretaker Andrea and she was very friendly and helpful.
