This contemporary one bedroom apartment (600 Sq. feet) puts you within a 10 minute walk to the most important sites in Rome: Saint Peter Cathedral, Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The flat is at the top floor, 7 flights up with elevator and well connected to all areas of Rome by public transportation (Cipro subway station is at 100 mt. from the building). The flat has just been completely renovated with a particular attention to details and modern comforts. Contemporary design, fine tapestry and wooden flooring offer its own distinctive look and elegance and make this apartment highly desirable to 'smart travelers'. The double bedroom, complete with a closet, a satellite TV, air conditioning, opens on a terrace with dining table for 4 and view of St. Peter Dome. The large living room has plenty of lighting, free WIFI, Home Theatre and a comfortable sofa bed for two. The newly fitted kitchen contains: microwave, gas hob, kettle, coffee maker, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher.
The Vatican Museums are indisputably one of the finest collections of art in the world. Over the centuries, Papal patrons have commissioned renowned works such as the magnificent frescoes of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, and those by Raphael in his stanze. The museums also host some of the most important sculptures from the ancient world. You will have the opportunity to see these works as they were originally viewed and contemplated by the Popes who created the Museums. A chance to have this astounding collection to yourself just a few steps away from home.
The area offers a view of a everyday Rome filled with real Romans doing life. The popular shopping strip of Via Cola di Rienzo offers good amentias as well as an alternative to the high end fare found in say the via Condotti zone. The daily market at Piazza dell'Unita is charming and the prices are very good. A visit must be paid to Castroni with its wide range of local and international foodstuffs. There are quite a lot of groceries and supermarkets. In the area you can find restaurants of any kind and price. As for pizzerie we are fond of Gabriele and his 'Pizzarium' (via della Meloria 43). By the way we are not the only one who like Gabriele and his product as the great Ferran Adria' do the same.
The property is in a great location to see all of the sights, just 400 metres to the metro. The apartment is very clean and up to date with all mod cons. Would recommend it.
Very clean and well equiped apartment close to subway station. Mauro was very helpful also and gave us lots of information. Dont miss out on the light show of Augustus and Cesar's forum.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks. The property is on the top floor of an apartment block reached by a lift which is just outside the front door to the apartment. Mauro, the owner was very helpful and had organised a car to pick us up at the airport. He also took us for a short tour of the area advising us on where to shop, eat etc. The apartment has all you need for your stay and although not in the pictures, has roller shutters on the doors and windows which gives added security and privacy at night. The bed was very comfortable and welcoming after the long walks through the city. It was very pleasant having breakfast on the balcony with the view of the Vatican and also a relaxing glass of wine in the evening. Supermarkets, shops, and places to eat are all in the immediate vicinity. Bonci pizzas just across the Via Cipro (5 minutes walk) are a must. The Metro is a 3 minute walk away and is very convenient to get to all parts of Rome and beyond via Termini station. The Vatican is a 15 minute walk away and so handy we visited it a few times and even had a general audience with the Pope (he does this weekly when he`s there so you can get to see him in his Pope mobile!!) Communication with Mauro was excellent. The internet provided the opportunity to plan and book trips and tours and we were able to email Mauro who again kindly booked a car back to the airport for us. Rome is a beautiful city and I would recommend this apartment if you wanted to visit and still have your private space.
Just had four great days in Rome with this typical Roman apartment as our base. Everything you need to enjoy your stay.
Wonderful delis, resturants and markets for cooking in or dining out. We met the owners who speak very good English.
Mauro and Carmen are really lovely people and youi leave feeling that you have new friends to visit again.
Mauro met us at the apartment right on time. He had been very communicative before our arrival, so there was no difficulty in checking in. The apartment is very nice, well stocked with all the essentials, plus Mauro left us a welcoming gift. The bed, bathroom, living room and kitchen are all well equipped. We made breakfast every day that we were there. The market is literally across the street, so shopping was extremely convenient. The Vatican museum and St Peter's Basilica are a comfortable walk from the apartment and the Metro is at the end of the street. There are also buses that will take you to some of the other sights, although we found the walk to the Coliseum, Trevi Fountain, and the Pantheon to be a pleasant way to see the city. There are many restaurants and shops nearby.
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the apartment and had no issues whatsoever. We sat out on the balcony each morning with our breakfast and enjoyed the sights and sounds of Rome.
The apartment is very secure and we felt very comfortable in the neighborhood.
We would recommend this apartment to anyone who wanted to be centrally located to the main attractions of Rome.
My mother and I stayed here and had a beautiful time. The apartment is clean and comfy, it's in a convenient area, and our hosts were wonderful and generous! I would definitely stay here again.
