This contemporary one bedroom apartment (600 Sq. feet) puts you within a 10 minute walk to the most important sites in Rome: Saint Peter Cathedral, Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. The flat is at the top floor, 7 flights up with elevator and well connected to all areas of Rome by public transportation (Cipro subway station is at 100 mt. from the building). The flat has just been completely renovated with a particular attention to details and modern comforts. Contemporary design, fine tapestry and wooden flooring offer its own distinctive look and elegance and make this apartment highly desirable to 'smart travelers'. The double bedroom, complete with a closet, a satellite TV, air conditioning, opens on a terrace with dining table for 4 and view of St. Peter Dome. The large living room has plenty of lighting, free WIFI, Home Theatre and a comfortable sofa bed for two. The newly fitted kitchen contains: microwave, gas hob, kettle, coffee maker, washing machine, dryer, dishwasher.
The Vatican Museums are indisputably one of the finest collections of art in the world. Over the centuries, Papal patrons have commissioned renowned works such as the magnificent frescoes of Michelangelo in the Sistine Chapel, and those by Raphael in his stanze. The museums also host some of the most important sculptures from the ancient world. You will have the opportunity to see these works as they were originally viewed and contemplated by the Popes who created the Museums. A chance to have this astounding collection to yourself just a few steps away from home.
The area offers a view of a everyday Rome filled with real Romans doing life. The popular shopping strip of Via Cola di Rienzo offers good amentias as well as an alternative to the high end fare found in say the via Condotti zone. The daily market at Piazza dell'Unita is charming and the prices are very good. A visit must be paid to Castroni with its wide range of local and international foodstuffs. There are quite a lot of groceries and supermarkets. In the area you can find restaurants of any kind and price. As for pizzerie we are fond of Gabriele and his 'Pizzarium' (via della Meloria 43). By the way we are not the only one who like Gabriele and his product as the great Ferran Adria' do the same.
We recently spent 2 weeks in this comfortable apartment near the Vatican. It was perfect for 2 people. We were able to spend our days in the hustle and bustle of the city and then return to the relative quiet of this neighborhood and the apartment on the 7th floor. It is very conveniently located to the Cipro metro stop and close to 2 or 3 supermarkets. The kitchen is small but adequate for making breakfast and simple meals. Good dishwasher and washing machine, although we never figured out how to use the dryer. The bed was very comfortable and the WiFi service was excellent. We recommend the restaurant across the street "Secondo Tradizione". The owner of the apartment, Mauro Michelangeli, is a genuinely friendly and helpful man who enjoys making his guests feel at home. One highlight of our stay in Rome was to be able to spend time with Mauro and his wife Carmen.
A very comfortable stay (4 nights). The supermarket is just across the street, and less than a 5 minute walk to the tube. The apartment is spacious and contemporary in style with quality fixtures and fittings, plus thoughtful touches to make your stay more personal. The owner organised a taxi to pick us up from the airport which gave us peace of mind, and then met us at the entrance to the apartment block. The apartment is off a quiet side street. We might have struggled to find the apartment in the dark in an unfamiliar city, on a quiet Sunday evening. We were shown how to work the shutters/boiler/ dishwasher etc. The bed was especially comfortable, and the bathroom was a real pleasure with French windows and a spacious shower. We only ate breakfast at the apartment(on the balcony off the bedroom with a great view of St Peter's), eating locally in the evenings, but the kitchen was well equipped should you wish to cook. On our last day we used the local 'Stow your bags' facility which was excellent. We used bus 23 a couple of times which gets you between the Vatican area and near to the Colosseum area - great value at only 1.5 Euros per person. We used the Leonardo Express for our return to the airport- very straight forward. We would recommend this apartment and owner.
Just returning from a short 3 day break in Rome. Despite there being a taxi strike, Carmen collected us and Mauro also went that extra mile to provide us with tasty pizza on our late arrival.
They really care and give the holiday a very personal touch.
Apartment Is furnished very comfortably with all needs catered for and a superb bed and sofa bed. Cipro Metro is 2 mins away and 1 stop from Vatican and easily commutable to all other attractions⛪️🏛
I am very happy to recommend the apartment and the hosts Mauro and Carmen. We will definitely use their accommodations again !!
Ciao for now,
Pauline and family .
The property is in a great location to see all of the sights, just 400 metres to the metro. The apartment is very clean and up to date with all mod cons. Would recommend it.
Very clean and well equiped apartment close to subway station. Mauro was very helpful also and gave us lots of information. Dont miss out on the light show of Augustus and Cesar's forum.
My wife and I stayed here for 2 weeks. The property is on the top floor of an apartment block reached by a lift which is just outside the front door to the apartment. Mauro, the owner was very helpful and had organised a car to pick us up at the airport. He also took us for a short tour of the area advising us on where to shop, eat etc. The apartment has all you need for your stay and although not in the pictures, has roller shutters on the doors and windows which gives added security and privacy at night. The bed was very comfortable and welcoming after the long walks through the city. It was very pleasant having breakfast on the balcony with the view of the Vatican and also a relaxing glass of wine in the evening. Supermarkets, shops, and places to eat are all in the immediate vicinity. Bonci pizzas just across the Via Cipro (5 minutes walk) are a must. The Metro is a 3 minute walk away and is very convenient to get to all parts of Rome and beyond via Termini station. The Vatican is a 15 minute walk away and so handy we visited it a few times and even had a general audience with the Pope (he does this weekly when he`s there so you can get to see him in his Pope mobile!!) Communication with Mauro was excellent. The internet provided the opportunity to plan and book trips and tours and we were able to email Mauro who again kindly booked a car back to the airport for us. Rome is a beautiful city and I would recommend this apartment if you wanted to visit and still have your private space.
