This non-smoking cozy and charming seaside cottage is located in the quaint village of Marion, Massachusetts. The village is one hour to Boston, Provincetown, Newport, Rhode Island, and thirty minutes to Cape Cod, and Providence, Rhode Island.
Marion is a residential seaside community located on the southeast coast of Massachusetts, with the warm waters of Buzzards Bay, without the traffic and congestion of Cape Cod. Marion is known as a sailing and boating town!
This "dreamer's cozy nest" is located within easy walking distance to Marion's harbor, town beach, beautiful waterfront homes, general store, shops, art center, music hall, Beverly Yacht Club, and Tabor Academy.
This wonderful, new (built in 2004) fully equipped air conditioned, and heated cottage, is bright, sunny, and modern with one bedroom with a full-size bed, and a ladder that takes you to a loft with two additional twin-beds, and television. There is an open living room with a sofa, coffee table, wicker rocking chair, television, a full kitchen, and full bath.
Enjoy the outside shower after the beach. French glass doors open onto an outside patio facing a beautifully landscaped yard. Table/chairs and umbrella are on the patio, for your outside dining, and a gas grill for your cooking. Washer and dryer are located in the cottage basement for your use.
The cottage is located behind the owner's main house (which is currently not for rent). Furnishings are a lovely seaside decor, and parking is available.
The cottage is ideal for a couple or small family. It is so cozy that you will never want to leave. This is a perfect retreat to relax and enjoy the summer by the sea!
We enjoyed our stay at this "charming" cottage in Marion, MA. Be aware that if you choose to forego the linen service, you will not have towels, sheets or blankets. Aside from this, the cottage is very well maintained and the owner was quick to respond to questions.
this was a cozy little cottage depicted very well in the photos. The small living room connects to the kitchen area and the ceilings are as high as the bedroom loft which allows for a spacious feel. Perfect for two people. The neighborhood is lined with beautifully landscaped properties and streets spotlessly clean. All of Cape Cod is nearby as well as Newport R.I. We found awesome food and drink at the Brew Fish restaurant and ate there every night.
Wonderful experience for my first time traveling this way. Brad
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - what a lovely little cottage! It's a little tight for more than two; there's only one sofa and only two cafe chairs at a small table for indoor dining, but as long as the weather cooperates, there's a lovely, large patio table and 4 comfy chairs just outside the door. The bedroom - as well as the loft - is spacious and the kitchen is very well-appointed. A quick walk to the general store or to Kate's for amazing sandwiches and salads, and Uncle John's is just a couple of minutes away for coffee and pastries. What more could you ask for? Oh yes, the beautiful little village of Marion along with its beaches make this the perfect place for a getaway!
The cottage was very cute! Everything was neat and clean! Although, we didn't spend a lot of time in the area, it was very charming. The beach is pretty close.
We arrived very late on the first night! Upon explaining that we would be pretty late arriving, Gael was wonderful and had the lights on and the door unlocked for our arrival.
My family and I enjoyed our stay in the Marion Village Cottage. We plan on returning next summer before an annual trip to Martha's Vineyard. Gael was an excellent host and the cottage was impeccable.
This was an excellent rental. The place was clean and had everything you would need for an extended stay. Close to everything Marion and the area has to offer too! Quiet neighborhood but close to the beach. For families with young children we could easily access the beach and local playgrounds.
