About Sheryl Quarterman
Robert and I have lived in the Fairfax Virginia from the time we were teenagers until now. We have raised our children in the same home since they were born. We have canoed the Shenandoah River since we were teenagers and have always passed this beautiful property. As teens were would dream about owning a place on the river and it finally has come true.
Sheryl Quarterman purchased this Cabin in 2017
Why Sheryl Quarterman chose Luray
Our family has been coming to the Shenandoah River for many years. We have stayed at Shenandoah Dreaming for many years now. It has been our dream to own this property and we were fortunate enough to buy this cabin. It is our own piece of serenity. We would love for you to come and enjoy a bit of our serenity.
What makes this Cabin unique
After a comfortable night sleep you will wake up to bird song. You can then get yourself a cup of coffee or tea and then sit on the screened porch an enjoy the view. You will definitely watch the beautiful river go by, possibly see deer and other wild animals. Now its time to get your day going by tubing, canoeing, fishing or just relaxing by the river. There is plenty of room on the property to bring yard toys for the whole family. After a long day by the river and a barbeque dinner come and enjoy a fire with samosas. If you would like to venture from this piece of paradise go to Luray Caverns for a breathtaking world under the ground. Then enjoy a lunch in Luray. There some really great restaurants in Luray.
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
We were very pleased. It is peaceful on the screened porch and down by the river. Very relaxing vacation. The cabin was everything we wanted it to be.
Perfect Weekend Getaway
Awesome riverfront property! Spacious, immaculate and well stocked with all the necessities (including coffee filters--yay!) Beds are comfy, and the ground is nice and flat to the firepit. Lots of firewood. Two perfect hammock trees by the water. Only two of us and two small dogs, but six people would have plenty of space. Coordinated with Sheryl, one of the owners, and felt well prepared for arrival. Nice people. About one mile from Shenandoah Outfitters...took a four hr tubing trip for $22, but there are canoes and such at the cabin to use free with your rental (life jackets also) . WIFI plenty strong to stream our music by the water. We'll be going back with our parents, and of course Piper and Waffles. Thank you Quarterman family for sharing your little piece of heaven with us.
Very clean and property owner left a personalized note which you do not see often.
I'm late for doing this review but this cabin was absolutely what my family, I and the dogs needed. Very beautiful location and a perfect spot in the back to go into the water and have a wonderful time. If you are looking for a cabin to stay in Shenandoah I recommend this one you will not be disappointed. I will definitely come back next year to this same cabin. If you have dogs they will absolutely love this place.
Our first visit
My boyfriend and I stayed at the cabin from Aug 11-13 and just loved it. The house was exactly as pictured; it was very cozy, relaxing and spotless. We loved being able to walk right to the river from the backyard and go fishing and every morning and night sit on the screened in deck. We will definitely come back in the future. Our only recommendation is to place the house number at the driveway as we arrived around 1030pm and drove past it 2 times as we couldn’t see a house number in the dark. Otherwise we were 100% happy with our stay!
Very Peaceful Week
This is a lovely property located right on the river. The cabin was comfortable and the back yard was perfect for relaxing. We had many evening fires and spent several days canoeing on the river. Perfect place to unplug and go off the grid for a while.
Great Cabin, loved the screened in back porch. Cabin was cozy, The access to the river was very easy. We would stay here again.
This property has 175 feet of river frontage on the south fork of the beautiful Shenandoah River. It is fifteen miles from the town of Luray and Luray Caverns, and a short drive to the Shenandoah National Park and Skyline Drive. It is an ideal property for those that enjoy canoeing, kayaking, tubing, fishing, hiking, or just the general peace and serenity that comes with being in a beautiful natural setting.
