The Sebastopol Guest House is modern, spacious and serene. It is a detached, stand-alone building with multiple skylights, a high, beamed ceiling and polished concrete floors. The bed is scrumptious, so you'll sleep as if on a gossamer cloud :) There is air conditioning and heat so you'll stay cool in the summer and warm as toast in the winter, there is a full kitchen, strong wifi, smart T.V. and a docking station for music. French doors open to a private patio covered by an arbor of grape vines. The Guest House is downtown, yet located on a quiet country road (yes, you read that right) Stroll to see the neighborhood's working farm / animals, the Barlow, Michelin star and Zagat rated restaurants, our 2 local farmers markets, breweries, tasting rooms, galleries and boutiques. Gorgeous wineries are within a 10 minute drive. We are fluent in Sonoma county, you'll find our extensive guide book we've created with insider lists of eats, drinks, adventures, spa services and more. It is a rustic private residence and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Wendy and Lisa
About Wendy and Lisa
Wendy is an ex city slicker who fell in love with the country. She's lived and worked in Manhattan, Japan, Chicago, San Francisco, and Marin County, before swimming upstream to take root in Sebastopol. Lisa is a competitive endurance athlete who loves to unwind by cycling through the wine country. We grow most of our produce, drink as much wine as schedules allow, and enjoy lingering over healthy, well prepared meals. We love travel, entertaining and connecting others to great things, experiences and people.
Why Wendy and Lisa chose Sebastopol
We love that this property is in walking distance to all the amenities of downtown, yet it's quiet and feels like living in the country, and as wine and food lovers, being in close proximity to so many wineries and farmes was a HUGE plus.
What makes this Guest House unique
Our guests tell us The Guest House is a very soothing environment, it's on a country road complete with our neighbourhood menagerie of farm animals, yet it's a short stroll to all things downtown: the Barlow, Zagat rated and Michelin star restaurants, boutiques, organic coffee and fresh local made organic Ice cream and two farmers markets.

Zen-like oasis in Sebastopol!
This is a hidden gem is so peaceful and comfortable you won’t want to leave! The gracious hosts even provided us with eggs from their hen house!! Everything you need is right there—and the garden/patio area will have you asking yourself if you want to do more than just sit and enjoy what they offer! You won’t be disappointed in this very private and comfortable location!
In the area for an art workshop traveling alone. Very comfortable, clean, and welcoming. Close to town on very quiet street. Would recommend highly.
Beautiful and peaceful respite!!
Perfect hosts, gorgeous accommodations, thoughtful touches!! Will be returning for sure!!
We will be happy for you to return
This is the perfect oasis from which to explore Sonoma County! The place is adorable and within walking distance of everything in Sebastopol. After a day of hiking, wine tasting or just hanging out in Sebastopol, you return to this tranquil cottage with beautiful gardens on a quiet street. Wendy and Lisa have an extensive list of things to do in the area and you could stay busy for weeks. All of their suggestions were "spot on." We hiked in Armstrong Woods (equivalent to Muir), discovered Wild Flour Bread and the wonderful cheeses in the area, ate fabulous food in Sebastopol, took their recommendations on wine tastings and even did a gorgeous hike in Pt. Reyes. If you live in the Bay area, this is the perfect spot for a relaxing weekend. It's also a perfect spot to stay a week and explore all there is to offer.
Thank you for your review. You were top notch guests, and it was delightful to have met you. We're glad to have provided a tranquil spot for you to re-charge.

Peaceful Private Cottage
A lovely quiet cottage within walking distance to restaurants and shopping, and short driving distance to coast or wine country. Wendy and Lisa welcomed us with fresh eggs, milk, and ground coffee ready for use throughout our stay. It's clear that they take great pride in the interior and exterior details of their cottage. It was exactly as advertised (and more) on the website. Very clean and comfortable. And even though it was March, we enjoyed the meditative quiet and privacy of the patio. Highly recommend to any single or couple considering this area.
Thank you for your kind and detailed review. We would feel honored should you return for an encore in the future
