We have rented on Damariscotta Lake many times and this was by far our favorite! Our two teenage kids each had friends for the whole week so the bunkhouse was a big bonus. My 84 year old father joined us. We all had plenty of room. The cottage is well equipped and the waterfront was perfect. We saw lots of eagles and loons, did lots of waterskiing and exploring the lake. The location is handy for getting into town for dinner and shopping. We daytripped to Shaw's for fish and checked out Pemaquid lighthouse. We highly recommend this house and hope to be back soon!
This is the second year we have stayed in this wonderful home. The house has all the modern luxuries, so nice in case of bad weather-which fortunately, we did not have while we were there. The view is spectacular-the dock is large enough for the entire family to enjoy. The wildlife is amazing to watch. We were able to see loons, bald eagles and even an owl. There are plenty of games for the kids to enjoy and the bunkhouse is great for the kids or extra guests. The owners are lovely and check in to make sure your stay is pleasant. They even left fixins for s'mores! Also close to town for a dinner out or a run to the grocery store. We will definitely be returning!
Cabin was wonderful, fantastic view (including eagles and loons), great fishing (grandson caught 14 fish including a 2lb large mouth bass from the dock) plus kids loved the swimming and bunk house they took over upon arrival. Could not ask for a better setting for our annual family get together. The Levy's were the perfect host, could not ask for more.
We are sitting here, relaxing in this beautiful home on Damariscotta Lake. For the second year, we enjoyed a wonderful week in this incredible home. The view from the living room is unbelievable. After a short paddle in the canoe this afternoon, we saw a bald eagle sitting beside its nest. Larson's Lunchbox, Roundtop Ice Cream and Joe the lobsterman can't be beat. We are looking forward to returning often.
My family, consisting of five adults, spent a week at this wonderful lakefront home and we couldn’t have been happier. There was plenty of space for all of us and the cabin was clean and well equipped. It has a beautiful view of the lake from the deck, a great swimming doc, and a canoe for the guests to use. It’s a very private and peaceful location. We enjoyed the cute town of Damariscotta, about 10 minutes away, and were 30 minutes away from Pemaquid Point Lighthouse, which was my favorite destination to visit. The owner was very easy to work with and was eager to offer helpful information about the area. We had a great vacation and I would highly recommend this rental property to anyone visiting Maine.
Our family had a wonderful time during our week long stay. We've been visiting Lake Damariscotta for over a decade and we were extremely happy with our stay here. The outdoor space was great with a nice sunny dock, fire pit and plenty of adirondack chairs. The owners were extremely personable checking on us several times and providing many recommendations for things to do in the area. The house is very comfortably furnished with a fully stocked kitchen and living space both upstairs and downstairs which allowed people to spread out. Lake Damariscotta is a beautiful, relaxing area and our week always seems to come to an end too soon.
