Listed as one of Cape Cods finest home in 2015: http://capecod.curbed.com/archives/2015/12/23/beautiful-cape-cod-homes-2015.php
Built in the 1930's this quintessential waterfront cottage, with spectacular views and sunsets, has been fully updated while maintaining all the charm and feeling of a true beach hideaway. It has been carefully restored to its original wood walls, ceilings and floors, sunny open rooms, but with brand new bathrooms, Weber gas grill, and and a new well stocked kitchen. It will sleep 6 in 3 bedrooms, 2 full baths, outdoor shower, and an open living room with wood burning brick fireplace. There is a bedroom on the first floor with a bathroom. Upstairs are 2 bedrooms and a full bath. All bedrooms face the water and have wonderful views of the Bay. The house also has great views of Pilgrim Lake. If you are looking for the convenience and activity of Provincetown, but want the tranquility of being on a private beach in North Truro this is the right house for you.
The house is located just over the Provincetown border in the Beach Point area of Truro and the Provincetown shuttle is available at the end of the driveway, so you can avoid all the hassles of parking in Provincetown. Pet friendly- 1 pet permitted with extra cleaning fee.
Great House, great comments from past renters!!!
This rental was our best yet (by far) on HomeAway - we have rented at least a half a dozen homes over the years - the location is fantastic with beautiful views and a calm beach for little children (bay side) - low tide provided lots of investigation each morning of our stay. The artwork and furnishings made us feel like we were staying in someone's special home instead of a rental. The linens were all provided and were very nice and the kitchen was well stocked for all of our needs. Being so close to Provincetown was a huge plus for dining and shopping - cutest town on the Cape for sure. If you are there during the summer months and have the chance definitely try to make it to Herring Cove Beach when Farlands concession offers free music - really, really fun. Great lobster rolls and BYOB if you want. (they do sell beer)
Ross, thank you so much. We really loved staying at your home - and we loved seeing the pictures of all the renovations that you did as well (in the binder). We hope to rent from you again as soon as we can pull our far flung family together again. Have a great season and rest of 2016.
We spent our Thanksgiving holiday at this beautiful beach house and had a great time! Mike and Ross were very accommodating, communicative, and easy to work with. They have a beautiful beach home, close to town but far enough away for privacy and quiet. Well stocked/equipped home with everything you will need for your stay, very clean and well maintained. We would highly recommend staying here!
If you’ve been to the outer Cape, chances are that you’ve passed by this classic beach house on the narrow sands between Truro and P’town. Well, do yourself a favor and don’t pass it by again – Stay here!
Just experienced a lovely November weekend in this well-loved 1930 cottage by the sea with my mom and her sister. Classic and very clean with beautiful updates, incredible atmosphere, and cool decor, there are views from every window to enjoy the ever-changing light on the water, dunes and sea grass. Comfortable and cozy in the off-season, after a walk on the beach (just paces out the back door), relax beside the roaring fire.
If you are considering a place to stay, look no further than this gem and make certain to stay longer. Trust me, my mother, and my aunt — you’ll wish you had.
All the previous reviews echo our sentiments and I suspect that all of us reviewers were more than a little hesitant to share our “Old Cape Cod” secret…please, just don’t take my week!
We had a great stay and the house was great. We had a multi-generational week of vacation planned and this house really fit the bill for us. Everyone was able to have their own space and yet the back deck and living room/dining room/kitchen areas really worked as group areas for us. The house had everything we needed and made our treks to Head of the Meadow Beach (for the waves) a lot easier and more enjoyable. Ross and Mike are great and we enjoyed meeting them as well.
This is a great property - it has everything you need for a great holiday stay. Most unbelievable sunrises and sunsets with a beautiful natural dune beach setting. We have stayed here for 2 Christmas holidays and are long time users of homeaway. This cottage has all the right touches and amenities - a great fireplace, amazing view and well stocked kitchen with lovely bedrooms and bathrooms and wifi and cable for those that chose not to disconnect. My husband and I think this is such a great find for the winter season. Cannot imagine how great it is to stay during summer - but the peace and quiet of a beautiful winter beach holiday at this cottage is a must!
Comfortable house with spectacular views. Ross and Mike attended to all the comforts and equipment a house needs. Comfortable beds and bathrooms. And me being a wineglass and coffee mug snob I was very glad to be able to enjoy the right size wine glass and a good size mug. Owners were very responsive to any correspondences before renting. Will return.
