Maintenance/Car Hire etc:
All was efficient wonderful and made us feel relaxed and welcome. Special thanks to Stratos and Maria.
We have been taken care of twice by the super friendly, helpful and professional house owner Maria in this beautiful little village of Roussospiti. Villa Selini is absolutely fantastic both with its breathtaking view and its great architecture and interior.
Our 4 kids had plenty of space both inside the house, in the very well kept garden and last, but not least, in the lovely private pool. Everything outside and inside are clean and delicate and we just loved the atmosphere the property provided us.
Roussospiti is a charming little village and by visiting the nice tavernas, the mini marked, passing the school and the church we soon felt as part of the community. It is not far to Rethymnon and you can easily make trips to other part of the island. But returning to Villa Selini was always the best, even if Crete has a lot of charming and interesting places to visit. We will sure come back!

It would seem that our earlier post didn't appear hence this late review.
The villa was excellent in every way. Great location, terrific accommodation, very clean and well equipped, fantastic views, super pool and very efficient and friendly (not to mention extremely helpful) representative (Maria).
There were a couple of tavernas - one of which was particularly good with great local food served by most friendly people - and a good mini-market. There was even a bus service into Rethymnon.
The standard of accommodation and the sort of treatment you get from those you deal with can make or mar a holiday. Suffice it to say that we had a really great holiday thanks to five star rating on both counts. If we go back to Crete I know where I would want to stay!
Needless to say, I have no connection at all with the owners or promoters - only as a very satisfied customer.
Crete, an island renowned for its natural beauty and diverse landscapes, speckled with mountain ranges and dotted with caves. The most dramatic features though are the spectacular gorges that cut through the mountains and spill out to sea. The rugged interior is interspersed with vast plateaus and fertile plains. The east boasts Europe's only palm-tree forest beach and the south coast has some of the most stunning beaches and isolated coves.
There are many ways to enjoy Crete. For the more adventurous there are the gorges and mountains to explore. Orgainised excursions include trekking, caving, mountaineering, cycling, climbing and hiking. Those enjoying walking will enjoy the coastal walks along the coast.
The almost guaranteed summer sunshine (on average Crete has more sunny days that any other Greek island) makes Crete the perfect destination for a beach and pool focused holiday. Hundreds of sandy beaches - some almost deserted even during the peak summer months - are a prefect retreat from the rigors of city life.
For those looking for a little more excitement, there are the gorges and mountains to explore. Adventures include: trekking, caving, mountaineering, cycling, climbing and hiking. Those enjoying walking will find the (well mapped) coastal walks a true delight.
