We had a lovely week in Trepuco Dos and the photographs didn't do the property justice. The garden was larger than we expected and the living area furniture had been updated. Having a sofa out on the terrace was great for the evening sun and we also made use of the parasols in the garage. The kitchen was well equipped and modern with plenty of crockery glasses etc.
Villa Trepuco Dos is conveniently located just a short walk to the sandy beach of Punta Prima. Punta Prima has an excellent beach of fine white sand and turquoise water. Facing south east it receives the sun first thing in the morning until late evening. Around the bar are several restaurants and low-key bars. There are also 2 supermarkets and other smaller shops.
Binisafua-Platja: is a small coastal village and typically Spanish. The delightful sandy beach, with whitewashed church along with several 'hidden' coves, give you plenty of private swimming locations.
Son Bou: is one or our favourite beaches on Menorca. A gloriously uncrowded and natural beach with Turquoise water and soft fine sand. Set back from the beach are a selection of beach bars, restaurants and shops.
Mahon: became the island's capital in 1722 - moved by the British from the Ciutadella. White-washed Regency and Georgian houses cling to the cliff face that surounds the harbour. It has strong connections with British naval history - admirals Nelson and Collingwood stayed there - while it also plays an important part in Richard O'Brien's series of novels.
