I live in Antibes where I organize seminars for companies moving to the area.
I am thus quite experienced at welcoming guests and I know what a high standard meet and greet service it requires.
This is a job in which the greatest pleasure is to satisfy clients and their enthusiasm is our main motivation.
This job demands an immediate reactivity, and this is a principle I also apply to my seasonal rental of apartments activity.
I am the owner of several apartments in the building and I offer them for seasonal vacation. Everything has been done in terms of investment, work and layout to make your stay unforgettable.
Hubert Arthaud purchased this apartment in 1989
Marais, as well as the history of this historic building during the Templar Knights era.
The people living in this lively and bustling neighbourhood are very open.
Everything can be done by foot. It is fantastic!
I bought several apartments in this building because I just love this historic district of Paris, the
I especially love this apartment for its charm and exposed beams combined with its luxury fittings, such as the flat screen TV in the bedroom. Plus it is sunny and peaceful... it is simply fantastic.
Lovely authentic French loft apartment - beautiful and modern but still you get that ""French"" feeling. Very close to 2 Metro lines - very easy walking distance from the loft. A major supermarket is around the corner for you to buy essentials for the apartment. We had 3 people in the apartment - our 21yr old daughter was on the sofa bed in the main room and it was fine. A few negatives - bathroom extremely small but not a major issue, the host who greets you does not speak English, and it would have been helpful to have a manual stating how to use appliances - stove, washing machine, tv. Overall, a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this apartment.
Very good location in Paris to see the city. Metro very close had a great experience staying there. One tip to use the metro download the Paris transit App. Very helpful to find your way around.
Overall a good experience, it is as the pictures show, perhaps a little bit more run down than I expected but nothing of concern.
We found Rosa easy to deal with, despite our poor French and her lack of English we muddled through. The apartment was clean and had all the necessities one would expect. Wifi was easy to log in to and worked well - which is important when you are up in the middle of the night with jet lag and need something to do at 3am! Great water pressure/temperature. Bed was comfortable and it was fairly quiet. The metro is indeed very close, and there is lots of lovely restaurants as well as a Monoprix close by, so we found the location great.
Things to be aware of ... the stairs are steep and narrow, as to be expected in an old Parisian building, but would prove hard for some to carry luggage up/down them (my kids couldn't manage). The bathroom is TINY, like crazy tiny. It is a step up in to the shower and the toilet is oddly high. It was a little tricky for my kids to use the toilet and the shower was hard as well. It was quiet enough, but you are in the middle of Paris so to expect that it was truly quiet isn't going to happen, we definitely heard neighbours and bar noise at various points of the day.
We appreciated the gesture of a bottle of wine left for us, and all Hubert's suggestions for restaurants, etc. He was easy to deal with and responded within a reasonable time frame. They also let us in to the apartment early on our date of arrival as we flew in at 9am which was fantastic.
I would suggest two things - another sharp knife in the kitchen would be handy, as well as a mirror in a room other than the bathroom.
We enjoyed this small, clean, chic apartment. Comfortable bed. It is on a quiet, interior courtyard.
The only challenge was the tiny bathroom! But we would stay here again, because the location is ideal for the Marais.
The apartment was in a great location and met all our needs. The host was extremely responsive to our texts when we had difficulty with the wifi but once we figured out which was the hub (which is is also the tv box FYI :)) and re started it, it worked fine. We would certainly go back. Enjoy your stay!
Firstly being close to a major metro station Republique makes getting around Paris very easy. This was important for us as even though Paris is a wonderful city to walk and explore, we had 2 young children with us.
The neighbourhood is quiet and filled with locals. Our children loved going to the local playground and to the cafe on the corner for drinks and a meal.
Supermarkets and boulangerie nearby for those wishing to prepare breakfast and other meals.
Must thank Hubert for the excellent communication throughout the booking process. Very informative and promptly responded to our emails. Offered suggestions on where to eat and was generally proactive as a host.
The apartment was clean and tidy - furnished minimally which suited us. Everything was available and thought of.
The apartment was completely renovated with exclusive amenities:
fully equipped kitchen, shower room with massage jets shower, and shampoo, shower gel, and body cream pack as in a hotel ****.
Free champagne bottle upon arrival.
Extra cleaning service available.
Free transfer to and from the airport for stays of more than 15 days.
The building was entirely renovated so it is in pristine conditions. It is a historic building in the heart of the famous Marais Historique district in the centre of the former Knights Templar district.
All the shops are conveniently located less than 50 m away. You can also find restaurants, supermarkets, electronics shops, bookshops, and boutiques to go shopping.
The subway is very close (80 m) as are the post office (50 m) and the velib station (bicycles).
This south-facing building is 50 m away from the stunning Temple square, with a fountain and no less than 71 trees and 190 plant species.
The area is absolutely bustling with life. It is 5 minutes away from Les Halles, one of the most typical pedestrian districts of Paris.
The apartment is located on the 4th floor and has view on the large landscaped courtyard. It is thus a very quiet and sunny south-facing apartment.
The entrance has a digital lock and the stairwell gives way to a stunning wooden staircase, with 18th century floor-tiles on the landings. It is in pristine conditions as it has been renovated 2 years ago.
The apartment boasts a large master bedroom with a brand new 140 x 190 cm bed, a closet and a flat screen TV with 160 cable private channels.
The smaller lounge/bedroom has a 140 x 190 cm sofa-bed for two people and a direct access to its own shower room with a large shower, a hand basin unit, WC, and storage space.
As in a hotel, you will find in the bathroom a shampoo, shower gel, and body cream pack, for your comfort.
The high quality bath linen includes thick white bath towels.
The typical Marais-style living-room boasts exposed beams, which gives it an incredible charm.
There you'll find a double couch, an armchair, a coffee table, and a free-standing lamp.
The dining room, in the living room, has a beautiful table for 4 people and a direct access to a stunning fully fitted kitchen.
In the kitchen, you'll find a dishwasher, a washing machine, an oven, induction hobs, an extractor hood, a Nespresso coffee machine, and all the necessary crockery and cleaning products.
An iron and an ironing table are available if you wish to wash and iron your clothes during longer stays.
Everything in the apartment is brand new. And you will be given the access code to our private high speed WiFi connexion before arrival.
Rosa, the building janitor, is lovely. If you wish so she can do the cleaning and change the sheets (with an additional cost corresponding to the normal cleaning hourly rate).
We can also offer you a tourist guide service if you plan to visit Paris and learn about all the fascinating historic details concerning the prettiest areas and monuments.
I always respond within an hour to any request or demand you may have. This is why my hosts always leave completely satisfied.
As I do not live in the apartment it has the advantage not to be littered with personal belongings.
