The pictures do not do this villa justice! We walked in to a very spacious, clean, and welcoming home! :) It is decorated very nicely. You can tell the owners take pride in this villa. I went with my husband, 1 1/2 year old baby, and my mom. Both bedrooms are huge. The master has a big master bath with two sinks, giant tub with shower and separate room for the toilet. Also, the master closet is huge. The balcony is also fairly large and the views of the mountains are beautiful. If you are traveling with a toddler, they have a ton of toys for them to play with. Our son loved the riding toy as he has one similar at home. Also, they have a ton of beach toys, boogie board, and noodles for the pool. We loved having the golf cart and drove it everyday to the Wyndham pool and beach.
I would definitely recommend this place for a family or a group of friends. It was great having our own kitchen to make food for our toddler, but also enjoy the resort amenities. It is very safe there with security 24/7 as well. Loved it and we hope to come back again! :)
My husband, myself, and another couple just spent a week at this condo. It is exactly as advertised. The owners were great to work with and sent us a text on the first day to make sure we had the local contact's number. Everything works perfectly - the AC, plenty of hot water, washer and dryer. The kitchen has everything you need. We didn't cook but kept the refrigerator full of bottled water, beer and breakfast stuff. Lots of living room and dining room space, as well as the balcony.
We used the golf cart to go to the Wyndham pool and the beach. The conscierge at the Wyndham provided the cards to get beach towels and wrist bands to use the pool. He also was a great source of information for the local sights.
We went to Old San Juan, Barcardi Distillery, and the El Yunque Rain Forest, which are all easily accessible from the condo. There is sooo much to do in Puerto Rico. We hadn't really decided on the plans before we got there - next time (yes I'm going back), I'll have a better itinerary.
This is an end unit and quiet. The rent is more than reasonable. We would all stay there again.
This was my first experience with VRBO and I didn't know exactly what to expect. The booking was easy and within 15 minutes of my online inquiry, I got a call from the owner. My questions were answered and I went ahead and sent my deposit.
The condo was just like the pictures. I loved having a cup of tea on the porch in the morning, looking out at the mountains. The condo was big enough for the four of us, parents and two college aged kids. We aren't the type of family to cook on vacation, but the kitchen had everything needed to cook meals. We just used the fridge and microwave.
The Wyndham has the typical tropical resort layout. The grounds and the lobby look a little tired, but it was alright. We ate in two hotel restaurants, both overpriced but not bad. I would say the biggest negative of the Wyndham is that they charge to park your car to go to the main hotel or the beach. But, the condo comes with a golf cart that can be taken anywhere on the grounds, this really is handy as the beach is a little far to walk.
There seemed to be few other guests in the condos when we were there. We had the village pool to ourselves both days we went there. Not many cars in the parking lot and we were able to get beach chairs, no problem, on the days we went to the beach.
El Yunque is a short drive and really worth going to at least once. We hiked to one of the waterfalls and it was beautiful. The rainforest is really a special place. We also spent part of a day in old San Juan which is very interesting, but it started to rain hard and we didn't spend as much time as I would have liked to be there.
the best restaurant we ate was Richies, up on a cliff near the condo. It has a great view and I enjoyed the arroz con pollo.
I would recommend this condo for families.
We had a wonderful time in Puerto Rico and the condo was great! Our young children loved the toys and the proximity to the play ground. The pool within the Rio Mar Village and the playground were nice too and we had both to ourselves that week. We enjoyed driving the golf cart to the Wydham's pools and going to the beach there. The condo is located within walking distance to two restaurants and one is a family friendly pub. Rio Mar is a great location for day trips to San Juan and half day/day trips to el Yunque. We were able to go to el Yunque for two half day hikes since the drive was so short. The owner provided helpful information about the resort/area and communication was easy and timely.
My husband and two year old loved our time at the villa. My toddler loved all the toys, the playground, and the golf cart. We loved that there were no crowds and that we basically had the pools to ourselves. This was a great trip, and I would definitely go back/recommend to others!
Our family just returned home from Puerto Rico. We rented this villa for the week and we couldn't have been happier. It was nice, clean and came with everything that we needed. It also had a wonderful balcony with a great view of the rain forest. A great way to spend the morning while drinking your coffee!
Guillermo: Thank you for such an easy booking! We really appreciate you sharing your home with our family. We had a wonderful time in PR and hope to some day return.
