We seek to make our condo a home away from home for you and your family and friends by providing a DVD library, game drawer, and a fully stocked kitchen for your use and enjoyment. We have also compiled our own simple guide to the area, with maps and directions to places of interests, recommended activities and restaurants, and our tips for getting the most out of your stay in beautiful Dillon!
We moved out to Colorado 25 years ago after we fell in love with the state on a backpacking trip for our honeymoon. We found ourselves taking frequent weekend trips up to the mountains with our daughter, and the Lake Dillon area became a favorite because of its beautiful environment, access to numerous activities for every season, and proximity to Denver. Now that we have our own condo in Dillon, we continue to take weekend trips up there in the summer and fall, and ski vacations in the winter. We also enjoy sharing our condo and the beauty of the area with family and friends.
Tenley Stillwell purchased this condo in 2004
Our condo is perfectly located for all the activities we love:
*We walk 3 minutes down to the Dillon Marina and rent a sailboat to sail around the lake.
*We drive 15 minutes to Copper Mountain or Keystone to enjoy a day on the slopes.
*We get on the bike path right in front of the condo to bike to Keystone (for mom) or all the way up to Vail Pass (for dad).
*We go swimming at the Silverthorne Rec Center and then go shopping at the Outlet Stores.
*We mosey in to town for meals at some of our favorite restaurants, like the Dillon Dam Brewery.
Then, we return home to a warm fire and balconies with beautiful views to enjoy the evening.
Yes, if anything it was even better than we expected. We got excited about having a grill on the porch-- we made kabobs one night and they were delicious!
Thank you so much for helping us out! We had a really wonderful time.
We enjoyed our stay at this cozy condo on Lake Dillon. Perfect arrangement for our 2 families. Nice warm gas fireplace, well stocked kitchen. Easy access to lots of ski resorts and good public transportation system. Ski rental close by and so was the grocery shopping. Owners very accommodating.
Excellent location and value. As one of the reviews stated not a luxury condo, but very comfortable and affordable. We were 4 adults and 4 teenagers. We downhill skied the areas nearby, and also went to cross country areas. Keystone Nordic Center is small but good (about 10 mins away), and Frisco Nordic Center is across lake (about 25 mins away) and considerably bigger. Covered parking a bonus. Did not use pool/sauna/whirlpool but they looked nice. Condo kitchen well supplied. Owner response was very fast and without any problems at all. Walking/bike path outside back door was also great as it is maintained even in the winter for walking and running. Nearby shops and bowling are easily walkable. Property was clean and well maintained except for what I think was dog hair on the carpets. Owner description said pets by agreement, but I'm not sure if it was from a visitor or if the owners have pets. Not a problem, but one of our boys has an allergy and it would have been nice to know if pets were a regular thing or an occasional presence. Would definitely recommend this unit to a friend or come back for a future trip. Would also be an excellent place in summer due to location.
We stayed at this property for a spring break ski trip. We had 5 people and had plenty of room. The location was great - we found it easy to get to Copper Mointain and Keystone. The property owner was very accommodating and responsive and easy to work with.
I have mixed feelings on the condo interior. There are nice views from the condo and it's great that it's a corner unit. Covered parking was nice to have The two queen beds both had comfortable mattresses. The two sets of bunk beds were iffy. They are also very short - sleeping on the bottom means bumping your head if you sit up. There are no buit in ladders, either. You have to lean a ladder against it that does not attach and does not feel safe especially for the middle of the night. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans and such. It's a small, basic kitchen but we prepped a lot of meals there. The dining table is nice and big. But the stools for the breakfast bar are far too short - they are counter stools instead of bar stools. I wish the condo was a bit more updated. There is overhead lighting in bedrooms and not enough lamps, the bathrooms have old fixtures and mold in the shower caulking, towels and bedding were rather worn, and the heating system is strange. But I think this is reflected in the price. Also the online pictures show the condo as it is we didn't feel misled. Just be aware that you are getting an economy 3 bedroom condo, not something luxurious.
Again the owner is very nice and easy to work with and I feel we got a good value. We had a good ski trip without spending a fortune and we were able to make the condo work for us. PS we loved the teen ski lessons at Copper. Not many resorts have lessons just for teens and our kids had a blast and really improved.
We spent 4 nights at the Marina Place Condo and very much enjoyed our stay. The condo was clean and had everything and more for what we needed. The listing description was accurate and the owners easy to work with. We have stayed at several places and found that this condo wasn't just your basic rental. It was a great place to relax, after spending a day skiing. We would recommend this condo to anyone. Thank-you
The condo met all my expectations. It fit 10 adults and has all the amenities we needed. The only downside was that the shower got cold after four of us showered. and we had to wait for a while for it to warm up again. But this is common among ski condos. Other than this, I highly recommend the condo to large parties who are interested in skiing in the area.
Our family of parents, adult children and friends used this condo to gather for the Thanksgiving holiday and to enjoy the ski slopes at the nearby resorts. The condo was perfect for our needs and the location was also spot on as it was close to grocery shopping, an evening entertainment venue (bowling) and even the outlet stores for black Friday shopping. The condo was outfitted with what we needed (well stocked kitchen, cleaning supplies, towels, etc) and everything worked. Tenley Stillwell was great and check in / out was a breeze.
