Peaceful and relaxing stay
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in unit 64 at cotton bay village. The unit is as described, in good repair, and everything was in great working condition. The proximity to the pool was fabulous. And speaking of the pool, it was one of our favorite things about our entire two-week stay in St. Lucia! There was never more than four other people at the pool, and most days we had it to ourselves. It felt like having an awesome pool in our own backyard. It’s probably the best pool we’ve ever experienced on any vacation. We typically don’t spend much time poolside on our vacations, however, we did on this one. The past reviews were accurate about the issue of the sea weed on the local beach. Because of that, we didn’t spend any time at that beach. However, it was a quick drive to the Caribbean side to enjoy the beaches there. We rented our own vehicle so we could explore as much of the island as possible. However, due to less-than -desirable driving conditions we didn’t venture too far. We opted to take a couple boating excursions instead. Seeing the island from the water was wonderful. We did Charlie’s speedboat cruise and hired Jerome (Israel Kings private boat charters) to take our family to some great snorkeling areas and Souffriere for lunch and a little shopping. Both excursions were fabulous! Cotton bay village is definitely in a quieter, more remote area, but that is what we loved about it! And having our own car to head into Rodney bay was nice. Both Mike, the owner, and Lorna the property manager were very responsive and helpful. Thank you Mike for sharing your piece of St Lucia heaven with our family!
Impressed and pleased by overall property and services.
Very well maintained and cleaned property.
Excellent lighting throughout the estate.
Very good security with guards regularly patrolling.
Large, and well maintained swimming pool.
First class furnishings in entire living area.
Fully supplied kitchen with quality utensils.
Mike’s got a wonderful apartment in a very quiet part of the island. It comes with all the basics and the kitchen is very well stocked with the necessary hardware. My only wish was for a mosquito net over the bed.
Thanks also to Lorna the property manager who was very attentive and took great care of us.
Thank you for your very positive review, and I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in our apartment at Cotton Bay. When I am staying there I always make sure the doors are closed in the evening when the lights are on, and I usually spray the bedroom in the early evening; and I find that I have no mosquito worries. Lorna is a great asset, and she certainly adds value to our unit.
Fantastic holiday accommodation
We really had a wonderful time at Cotton Bay.The villa was superb. We travelled as two couples and we had plenty of space.Because at the moment the resort is being refurbished it was only occupied by the private rentals which meant that we almost had the fantastic pool to ourselves! At the moment there are no shops or bars at the resort due to the redevelopment but there is one restaurant on the nearby plantation beach(Marjories).Rodney Bay is about 15 mins by car.We hired a car for the first week of our three week stay and toured the whole island. What a great experience! If you stay at Cotton Bay the peace and tranquillity are perfect but you need either a car or be prepared to pay for taxis (about 40EC to Rodney Bay).Lorna our property manager was an absolute star! She met us at the villa and showed us everything we needed to know.A local mobile phone was provided loaded with numbers for taxis, herself, emergencyand security. This was really useful. We would definitely recommend Casa Creole. It was simply beautiful and we had a fantastic holiday!
We are really glad that you found everything to your satisfaction, and had a wonderful holiday. You are right - St Lucia is a great experience, with so much to see. You are also right in saying that Lorna is a star. She really adds value to our apartment.
Thank you for your review.

Cotton Bay Village Apt 64 Casa creole 2 bedroom poolside
Excellent getaway property. Quiet location, car recommended, Very clean and well appointed. Beautiful pool. beach nearby, but on the windy side; lots of local atmosphere. The property caretaker, Lorna, was a true gem. Any questions or problems, she was there immediately. A truly caring person. We highly recommend this condo.
Thank you very much for such a positive review. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in our apartment. You are right – Lorna is a gem.
excellent poolside apartment
We enjoyed a marvellous 4 day stay at this beautiful ground floor apartment. Its situation is magnificent with its own patio so that we could eat out-doors and close by the superb pool. Quiet and relaxing. A real joy to be there and we left relaxed, happy and only wishing we could have stayed longer
Thank you very much for your very positive review. I am pleased that you found everything to your liking at Cotton Bay. I hope you also found St Lucia to your liking, and perhaps will return again in the future.
St. Lucia is a wonderful holiday destination! The people are cheerful and friendly and love to make tourists very welcome.
Temperatures are between 25 and 30 degrees centigrade all the year round and the evenings are warm and pleasant.
Beautiful sandy beaches are numerous and the sea is always warm enough to swim in. There’s plenty to see and do and activities are easy to arrange through local agencies. It remains an unspoilt jewel in the Caribbean Sea.
Cotton Bay Village is on the north east side of the island on Cas-en-Bas beach. It’s currently the only complex on a very long sandy beach. The bay is safe for swimming and water activities, as it is protected by a reef across the entrance; this also means the sea is normally calm.
Cotton Bay is around 10 minutes’ drive from lively Rodney Bay and is reached by a road that goes through the golf course. The village is set in impressive tropical gardens and comprises of stand-alone villas, and apartment blocks around a swimming pool. Each apartment block houses 3 or 4 apartments. The condominium is relatively small, as there are only 72 units in total.
Cotton Bay Village is ideal for families or couples. You can just relax around the pool, under an umbrella on the beach, or on your own private terrace next to the apartment.
For those that want a more active holiday, you can explore the local bay, swim from the beach or take kite surfing lessons from Cas-en-Bas beach. The cooling breeze on this part of the island makes it ideal for kite surfing. Just a little further afield there’s the 18 hole international standard golf course, and two riding stables. For those that love water-sports, snorkelling, deep sea diving, jet skis, banana rides and boat excursions are easy to organise in Rodney Bay.
There is a local bar and casual restaurant called Majorie’s right on the beach at Cas en Bas.
If you wish to cater for yourself, there are several very good supermarkets in Rodney Bay, which is a 10 minute drive from Cas en Bas. Rodney Bay, with its beautiful Reduit Beach, is very lively and caters for all tourist needs. There are lots of shops, bars, restaurants, hotels, night clubs, car hire offices and excursion offices. The restaurants cater for all tastes and pockets. You can eat local food, snacks, pizzas, French, Indian, Chinese, Italian and so on. All seem to be staffed by local, smiling friendly people.
For those that like to get a real feel for this wonderful Caribbean island, exploration by land or by sea can be easily organized. Boat trips on catamarans and schooners are very popular, as are island safaris in open-topped Jeeps. On the ‘must see list’ are the Pitons and Soufriere, the drive-in volcano, the tropical rain forest and Marigot Bay. If you have any time left over the zip-line over tropical rain forest, the botanical gardens, Pigeon Island and Anse Cochon are well worth a visit too.
