Perfect place! Excellent location and no sargassum!!
We absolutely loved this property!! We found the property exactly as described and Keith was very helpful in answering all of my questions prior to arrival. The location was ideal for a quieter, slower paced vacation but very close to the ferry, restaurants, bars and the market. The view was stunning and so wonderful to wake up to every morning. We didn’t want to leave but are sure we will be back and definitely recommend it to everyone we know!
We loved Villas San Miguel, can not wait to return! The grocery store is around the corner, the property sits on a small sea wall, morning sunrise with coffee is absolutely priceless. Quiet area in evenings. So close to all the shops, restaurants, & few blocks to the beachside. Dreamy vacation came true.
Comfortable Palenque casita
We found the casita exactly as advertised and reviewed. The suite is like a cozy home away from home. We found it impeccable. Everything is within walking distance. Loved sitting on veranda with coffee in the morning watching the sun rise. Like others before us, we too, left the window open and the AC off at night to listen to the waves. An old iguana visits daily and loves sliced bananas. The only con is the inability to access the WiFi. It was an exercise in futility.
We would rebook without hesitation. Highly recommend.
We really enjoyed the property and it's location. Clean, friendly staff and close to town.
It was clean, well maintained, had friendly, helpful staff. All as promised.
Great location with a great view and the relaxing sounds of the surf.
Casita Palenque turned out to be exactly what we hoped for during our stay on Isla Mujeres. Our first time on the island, we have always avoided AI resorts and crowds (cruise ships). Our previous trips to Mexico involved flying into CUN, renting a car and driving down the 307 to a beautiful piece of beach to be our own for a few days, usually around Akumal or Tulum; but through the years we found ourselves having to drive too far to find the right place on the beach as resorts were rapidly proliferating each successive trip. Casita Palenque, and Isla Mujeres, turned out to be the perfect combination of ocean access and a quaint pueblo atmosphere. Everything in El Centro was no more than 3-4 blocks away, and there was a golf cart rental next door if desired for island touring (our experience with them was great, highly recommended - and good, fast carts :)). The casita was appointed nicely, with little wear and tear and very clean. In the kitchenette was a refrigerator, microwave, two burner ceramic cook-top, and thankfully a coffeemaker with coffee also supplied along with utensils, dishes and pots and pans for cooking in if desired. The veranda looks out to the ocean and with the Malecon just steps away there's almost always a nice breeze for morning coffee time and and a walk. The time frame of our stay in early March we had no need for the air conditioning most days but when needed it was very effective. For anyone who frequents Mexico near the beaches you would appreciate the fact there were virtually no insectos in the casita while we were there. Thanks to Keith for his help and advice pre-trip regarding airport transfers, etc. Overall, a perfect stay; we'll return to Casita Palenque.
