We loved it! The photos do not do the cabin justice. The kitchen is perfect to cook breakfast, lunch and dinner, the upstairs bed was sooo comfortable and the cabin was decorated so nicely. Everything was so wonderful and we were so sad to leave. It was so peaceful, the hammock was so relaxing. Sitting on the front porch in the early hours was so nice. We especially enjoyed hearing the river. We will definately be back. The road up was such an adventure and we are so glad we brought the Tahoe! This cabin is so relaxing and so romantic. You feel like there is no one else around. It was so difficult to actually venture out and visit the area because we didn't want to leave the cabin.

Fabulous low-key mountain getaway!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at Pete and June's cozy cabin in the woods! The cabin itself is adorable, rustic and super cozy. The layout is great and the space is very creatively used. We were there over some very cold nights but the propane heater and giant wood-burning fireplace kept us nice and warm. We chose to stay in the upstairs loft since it was even warmer up there and loved the intimate setting. Our two shih tzus loved the big front yard and having the run of the cabin. The location is wonderful too! Super close to Weaverville, which has restaurants to rival any in downtown Asheville without the wait, and not far from Asheville itself or the Blue Ridge Parkway. We took advantage and spent most days out seeing the sights, before coming back to relax and recoup in the hot tub. June was a pleasure to talk to during booking and made the whole process so easy and enjoyable. We will certainly recommend it to our friends and hope to be back soon!

Great Cabin!

  • 4 of 5

FBR Cabin is delightful rustic cabin and an excellent value. The location is very private and just a quick drive to local attractions. Listing was accurately described, clean, and June was easy to work with. We enjoyed our stay! Highlights were a visit the Biltmore, Tobacco Barn Antiques, Downtown Asheville, & Blue Mountain Pizza!

French Broad Cabin

  • 4 of 5

The cabin was very quaint, and pretty. There were lots of cobwebs

and spider webs in the windows. The upstairs loft bed was great. Not much of a view for this time of year. Everything worked, hot tub was nice and the location was okay.

Perfect in Every Way

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I spent our honeymoon in this wonderful cabin. We had read reviews and looked at cabins all over the Asheville area but chose this one. We made the right choice. There was not a single thing we would have changed. Just 20 minutes from Asheville and a hop skip and a jump to cute little Weaverville, this cabin is situated in the most perfect location for privacy and feeling like you're away from it all while still being able to go into the city for a night out. From the front porch you can watch storms roll in and then listen to the pitter patter on the metal roof. We absolutely loved our time here and we will definitely be back!

The cabin is furnished with all the fixings of a home. From board games to a record player to essential cooking ingredients, this cabin has it all. And the hot tub is just a cherry on top of the best sundae ever! The washer and dryer are great and very much appreciated. We made full use of the kitchen and the grill and had dinners on the porch. (And there were no mosquitos!) I cannot imagine a better place. It was perfect for just the two of us but it could easily fit a family of four or five comfortably. If you're considering staying here, stop considering and make the reservation!

My only suggestions are these: bring bottled water if you aren't used to well water. And when you're coming up that steep gravel hill, do NOT stop. We got stuck once one the first time but after that, we figured it out. We had a 2wd Pontiac Vibe that made it up no problem once we knew not to slow down. (It added to the fun of being in a cabin in the mountains.)

This was, as advertised, the Quintessential Private Log Cabin.

Cozy nook in the woods

  • 5 of 5

My husband ,myself and our two dogs stayed in The French Broad Cabin for the month of March. We had a fantastic month! Loved everything about the cabin. So cozy and cute. I cried when I knew we had to go back up north. Huge stone fireplace was fantastic. Hot tub very soothing with the bird calls surrounding us. The drive up the driveway as long as you take it real slow. There is one scary curve. Cabin is in great location. Close to stores in Weaverville and also great river side drive into Asheville. There are great dog walks around the area with lots of hiking. French Broad greenway is great. Cabin is clean and we had everything we needed there. Sitting out on the deck, listening to the river below and the train whistle was way cool for us. Next time we hope to come in summer or fall. Can't say enough about this cute little nook. Thanks Pete and June!!
