This town home is the perfect location for exploring downtown Charleston. Located at the end of Rainbow Row, on the corner of East Bay and Tradd, it is one block from the waterfront park and diagonally across the street the dog park. Resturants, historic spots of interest, fine shopping, galleries and the Battery are all within walking distance.
The home is entered through a lovely gated courtyard, fragrant with climbing jasmine in the spring. This home is part of a small downtown estate dating from the early 1800's and has been newly remodeled. Originally used as the gardeners cottage, the house has windows on three sides and is flooded with light (plantation shutters keep the home cool during the summer). The downstairs floor are original heart of pine and italian marble tile, upstairs is carpet. The home is cozy, comfortable and charming. It is conveniently located to everything, a total delight, no matter the season.
The main house features a foyer, living room with fireplace, and an eat in kitchen on the first floor. Upstairs is a full bath with shower, a pleasant well lit office and a comfortable bedroom with a queen bed and a sitting area. The second floor balcony overlooks the courtyard and is accessed from the master bedroom. Across our private courtyard is a guest house with a living room, laundry area, a bedroom with a queen bed and a full bath with shower.
Antiques, nautical paintings, and comfortable furniture make this house cozy and appealing. It comes fully furnished with linens and towels. Cable TV, high speed internet, DVD surround sound player, stereo and off street private parking.

Whether you are first time visitor or a seasoned traveler to the low country you will not find a better location than 4 Tradd. This was the first time we used VRBO and to be honest we were very concerned about what we were getting our selves into. The cottage is clean, warm and inviting and we knew when we entered for the first time we made the right choice. We were not disappointed. The home is well appointed and well stocked with everything you need. Parking, which can be an issue, was not a problem. Dollar for dollar you will not get a better value than renting 4 Tradd. I would be remiss if I didn't mention the owners. Their star rating would be a ten. From start to finish they couldn't have been more attentive and helpful. They were responsive and always available to assist us in any way possible. Overall we loved 4 Tradd so much we stayed for two months. Be certain, we WILL be back.
This wonderful cottage is in a great location in Historic Charleston. It's within walking distance to excellent shopping, restaurants, The Battery, White Point Garden and many other historical sites. Love it so much I've been back three times. It has all the charm you would expect when you rent in Charleston. The owners are wonderful and you can tell they love this place as much as I do. I definitely will be requesting it again next year! It's a fantastic place to stay.

This is the most amazing place. Great location, very short walk to the "water" park, historical landmarks and fantastic Charleston Restaurants. Need I say more? The homeowners are fantastic, willing to suggest restaurants or things to do. I would give it more stars if I could!! Fantastic!!
This place is AMAZING! This townhouse is in the heart of the historic district, walking distance to the water park, and all of the best restaurants in Charleston. The homeowners are the very best, they are so helpful and wonderful and willing to assist with whatever your needs are. I would suggest this home to anyone, this is an absolutely beautiful location!!

The entire apartment is cozy and is located on a very historical street. The layout is wonderful for a couple with guests or older children.
