About Diane Vreeland/ Carol Null
I am a traveler and adventurer. I have visited and stayed in almost all of Central America. I have done outreach programs in some of them. I moved here from Kennebunkport Maine after selling because my daughter lives here after graduating from COA and teaching now. I am involved in the community and love the seasons except winter. I have been very fortunate to have had the tenants that have stayed in my home. Some have come back for 5 years now. I am easy to get along with and go out of my way to help some. I know how important vacations are for families.
Why Diane Vreeland/ Carol Null chose Town Hill
I love living on the Indian Point Road just 13 minutes to the center of town. I don't like crowds and this fits the spot for me. It is like country and quieter but so close to things. People love to bike this road and I love to walk my daughter's dog to the bay. I love to garden and proud to have these values and there is a farmer's market on Fridays just a few minute from my home. A country store that has everything along with ice cream. My tenants find it very clean and comfortable and have a good time.
What makes this House unique
I choose this property to build my home on because it was away from the crowds but easy to access all the other villages on the Island. I had room for a garden and enjoy landscaping.

Quiet and quaint
Clean, quiet and had everything we needed for a great stay.
We stayed during the July 4th week so we could experience all of the Bar Harbor activities. The moment you step into this home you feel welcomed and all of the comforts of your own home are waiting for you. I was so impressed with how clean everything was. Not a speck of dust anywhere. I very much enjoyed cooking and baking in the beautiful kitchen. This property is located on the quiet side of Bar Harbor which was exactly what we wanted. It was about a 15 minute drive to Acadia and/or downtown Bar Harbor and we went every day. If you are looking for a home to rent where you can relax and feel pampered, you have found it! The owner, Diane, is wonderful and will happily assist you if you need her. I highly recommend this home!
Highly Recommend ****** (6) Star
If I could give 6 stars I would. The house is well decorated, yet warm and comfortable, immaculate, extremely convenient to Bar Harbor Town and Acadia, beautiful gardens, and most importantly the owner welcoming and accommodating. We hope to visit again next year! Thank you.
This home is a perfect location...just minutes from Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Along with the ideal location, it is exceptionally clean and well-appointed. It has everything you need for your stay away from home. We especially loved the owner's taste in decorating inside and the landscaping outside. We took advantage of the nearby Maine Coast Heritage Trust trail and walked from the house to the pebble beach on several occasions. We also took in the local sites and sounds of the area including shopping in Bar Harbor, eating fresh lobster, kayaking, and spending several full days in the park including the Schoodic Peninsula and the Southwest portion of Mount Desert Island. And at the end of the day, it was a short drive back to the home for a quiet and peaceful evening. It was perfect!
Thank you for your honest review. I love having guest like you who appreciate what I am offering. You were the perfect guest and very respectful of what I am offering my guest. Thank you very much and would hope to see you again.
Just what we were looking for!
We enjoyed our time on the island and this rental was the perfect distance to and from everything. The whole rental process was almost effortless, which is exactly what I was looking for! Thank you, Diane!
Thank you and your family was the perfect guest. I hope to see you all again.
A great place to stay
The house was spotless and beautifully decorated. We were vastly impressed with the beauty of the house. We were very happy with the distance to the downtown area. The only negative thing we have to say was that the cable was very limited.
Overall, what a great place.
This home is within easy access to Acadia National Park with hiking trails and over 50 miles of carriage roads for biking. If you prefer, utilize the Island Explorer, a free eco-friendly bus shuttle service which is within walking distance to explore the village of Bar Harbor. There is also a nice 15 walk to the bay just 100 ft from my home and a pebble beach at low tide. Brewery with restaurant just 1 min away and a wonderful bakery with sandwiches, and a market.
There is a fresh water lake with sand beach about 3 miles away and lots of shopping to do on those rainy days or sit and relax and do nothing. We also have Kebo Valley Golf Course with a full pro shop and clubhouse restaurant on the Island.
