Beautifully-maintained home, spacious, walkable to great restaurants and ice cream!
We have stayed at this property at least five times over the years and love the location! With ocean breezes coming in the windows on every level, the home is cool - even on the hottest times of the summer. It is very well maintained and is kept up beautifully. Perfect for a large family or a family gathering, lots of gathering spaces and enough bedrooms for privacy. Perfectly located to walk to several excellent restaurants, run to the Point Judith lighthouse or walk to ice cream. Great location, great owners, wonderful memories.
Perfect house to share with family.
This house was the perfect place to vacation with family. We had two family's with adult children that fit perfectly. The house was clean and nicely furnished. Centrally located it worked for our daily walks, beach days, plus day trips to Foxwoods and Newport. We will definitely be back!
Nice for large family but not for peace and quiet
The home was ideal for our large family - the spacious floor plan, laundry, two fridges and nice deck all worked very well for us. However, it's across the street from a busy restaurant that has deliveries all day every day plus early morning trash pickups, so not very quiet. It is central to great beaches and restaurants and the views from the third floor are beautiful. The views on the other floors are of the other homes and neighbors. It would have been nice if the owner or manager had left information about the free beaches around, instead of just the for-fee beaches - we discovered the free ones mid-week and they were just as charming and picturesque as the larger public beaches. Narragansett is absolutely lovely and we loved our week and we look forward to visiting again but we'll research the property location better next time.
My family rented this and beach houseII for a 2 week stay. What a great time we had. Plenty of room and lots of cookware for family dinners. We loved the convenience of beaches restaurants and ferry to Block Island
We all want to come back again!!
Thanks to Robin and staff for being so nice and helpful!!
Restful week at Narragansett
I traveled to Narragansett from Maryland to meet up with my two daughters, their husbands and my five young grandchildren to vacation at this beach house. We all loved the living arrrangements at the house. It has a very spacious living area on the second floor with a large open room with an eat-in kitchen, living roon and den. There is also a full bathroom on the floor with the living area. The water views are spectacular! Most windows have a view of the water and the light house. There are so many windows - the house is bright and airy! The first and third florrs each have three bedrooms. this makes it so convenient forr multi-family groups. We had our privacy when needed, but were able to gather in a large spcioys room whenever we wanted to.
the house was very conveniently located next to wonderful restaurants and places to explore. We took loong walks and bike rides every day. It was a very short drive (5 minutes) to many beautiful beaches, also. We could easily travel to the beaches two times a day without a lengthy commute. We loved our stay and will return again soon.
Just a few minutes down Ocean Road is historic Narragansett Pier which, combined with this oceanside location, offers so many possibilities for Summer fun. Enjoy the nearby beach, restaurants, shopping and entertainment, or venture out to Historic Newport - only 20 minutes away. Don't forget or try your luck at the famous Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun Casinos just about one hour away. Five minutes down the road is the rustic fishing port of Galilee. Here you can board the ferry to take an exciting day trip to beautiful Block Island or just walk around and experience this thriving New England fishing village with its many shops and restaurants and of course its noted fishing trawlers and sport fishing fleet. Take a chartered fishing trip or try your luck for the 'Big One' surfcasting right from the nearby shore.
